Jakemoore Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Ability wise, always been a decent player but he's too much of a liability. We have a great team spirit which he doesn't fit in to at all.
Guest Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Just a thought but now Qpr have been relegated what's peoples thoughts on possibly signing Joey Barton from them on a free for next year? His contract with them is up at the end of this season. I don't like him as a person but you can't fault his commitment for any team he plays for. Could ve the nasty bugger in midfield we need in order to beef it up. Maybe a risk worth taking? No, Never. Dennis wise II
Corky Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Stay well clear, average player and terrible attitude. Loves to speak out against his own club which Pearson wouldn't tolerate. Other options are better.

Leicesterpool Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 No way, plus I can't see him getting along with Pearson very well. It was said when Hughes was at QPR, Barton caused the dressing room to split in two. Too much of a loose cannon and would ruin the good atmosphere in the dressing room.
Westerby Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 He did tweet last night and I quote "I will NOT be playing in the championship next season" Perhaps he has already signed for Nuneaton !!
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 You're not on your own thinking he has the ability but I just don't see it personally. The guy is a liabilty I was quoting the man himself. The tweet about not playing In the championship is from the last time qpr went down isn't it?
Big_Nige Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Behave, players like him are exactly the reason QPR have no fight and have been embarrassing this season, again. Complete bellend. Would rather have Junior Lewis back in midfield. There's a reason this is the third time he's been relegated from the Prem. Gash.
Fox92 Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Although I do rate Barton as a footballer, he doesn't fit our mentality.
LCCFox96 Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Not sure why people are giving detailed replies on the prospect of signing Joey Barton when a clear cut "NO" will suffice. NO.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Not sure why people are giving detailed replies on the prospect of signing Joey Barton when a clear cut "NO" will suffice. NO. Possibly because this is a chat forum where people generally like to 'discuss' the topics.
Fox Ulike Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Not sure why people are giving detailed replies on the prospect of signing Joey Barton when a clear cut "NO" will suffice. NO. Typing 'NO' is a waste of effort. I'm going for a simple "huffy Pearson" emoji as my response to this whole sorry thread: A picture paints a 1,000 words.
Bettsj2 Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Deffo take him. Bottom line is he's prem quality and contrary to opinion on here, his attitude seems to me to be perfectly in keeping with what we're about. At 5-0 down yesterday, he was one of only 3 on the pitch that was closing down, putting his foot in trying to limit the damage and show some pride. Yes he's been a dick in the past but his stint in France seems to have sorted him out once and for all. James is going to be out for a very long time, Cambiasso is another year older which leaves us with just Drinky and King. On a one year deal, I really dont think it would be that bad a signing especially if Hammond wont be staying.
