suffolk fox Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Just a thought but now Qpr have been relegated what's peoples thoughts on possibly signing Joey Barton from them on a free for next year? His contract with them is up at the end of this season. I don't like him as a person but you can't fault his commitment for any team he plays for. Could ve the nasty bugger in midfield we need in order to beef it up. Maybe a risk worth taking?
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Not only will he be overpaid, he's a massive scumbag and not really an improvement on anyone we have. In fact, I can't think of anyone I'd want less than Joey Barstard.
bovril Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 No. A modern day Dennis Wise Not quite that bad. But still wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.
Ollie93 Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 I like his grit and determination. But he's too temperamental.
kingcarr21 Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Joey Barton can stay at QPR and rot away in the Championship. Horrible little cnut. Anybody with half a brain wouldnt go anywhere near him.
Babylon Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Not a chance... Pearson prides himself on team spirit and harmony in the dressing room. Just can't see it.
Captain... Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 No and Pearson wouldn't want that type of 'personality' near the squad. I think we did the right thing last season by not picking over the bones of the relegated teams and getting in players on the back of a good season. The stench of relegation is hard to wash off and Barton stinks of it.
Nick Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 I'd struggle to stomach a decision that brought an underachieving journeyman, with a media profile for stupidity greater than his footballing offering to the club.
foxfanazer Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Couldn't think of a footballer on this earth I'd least like to join our club! Can't believe he had the audacity to call some players at QPR 'bad eggs'
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 On ability he walks into any team. No, he's a ****
Ollie93 Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Joey Barton can stay at QPR and rot away in the Championship. Horrible little cnut. Anybody with half a brain wouldnt go anywhere near him. He did tweet last night and I quote "I will NOT be playing in the championship next season"
David Hankey Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Signing Barton would be a retrograde step in my view. Not only is he over-the-hill, he is disruptive and a thug. No thanks. Leicester City should be looking forward not backwards!!
foxfanazer Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 On ability he walks into any team. No, he's a **** You're not on your own thinking he has the ability but I just don't see it personally. The guy is a liabilty
johnny the fox Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Wouldn't have him shoveling s h i t at the Leicester sewage works..
stripeyfox Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 I'm generally with the "Barton is cnut" line of thinking, BUT I have been quite impressed with him as a "pundit" on Monday Night Club on 5live. He had a good ding dong with Steve Claridge the other week. He does seem to have grown up but is still prone to the odd red card here and there. I rate him as a player, but I think there are better options out there.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Not a chance... Pearson prides himself on team spirit and harmony in the dressing room. Just can't see it. Exactly. Bartons a half decent player but is ageing and would definitely ruin the spirit of the squad Pearsons worked so hard to build over the last few years
