les-tah Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 IF we stay up I think the owners will spend big. I trust Nigel to get the right people in staying up in the first season was the hardest as not many people want to join as we could be relegated again... a second season would mean were established and theres 3 other teams who will 'likely' go down. so i agree i think we can pull of some big signings in season 2.
talking_goldfish Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 According to a Danish reporter Arsenal are after Kasper http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/transfers/arsenal-have-contacted-leicester-about-keeper-kasper-schmeichel-ekstra-bladet/
Jaspa Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 According to a Danish reporter Arsenal are after Kasper http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/transfers/arsenal-have-contacted-leicester-about-keeper-kasper-schmeichel-ekstra-bladet/ They have Szczesny and Ospina for the foreseeable future, granted the Pole is shite but I cant see Kasper going there for cup games and bench duty. The rumours of Spurs would seem more likely, they were linked last season and I doubt heavily Lloris will stay, Vorm has turned to mush and Friedel has retired. I'd want him here at least one more season. We'd do incredibly well to replace him adequately
SecretPro Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Milner is overrated, bit of a donkey. Clearly joking.
cc_star Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 According to a Danish reporter Arsenal are after Kasper http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/transfers/arsenal-have-contacted-leicester-about-keeper-kasper-schmeichel-ekstra-bladet/ I've criticised Schmeichel a fair amount in the past. I really didn't think he was all that in 12/13 and very, very overrated by many of our fans. However in our Championship winning season he was much improved. Before he was injured this season I thought he was pretty awful, completely out of his depth, completely clueless at at decision making & I'd put a good slice of goals conceded which have been attributed to others actually on Schmeichel's shoulders. Not sure what's happened while he's been injured, but he's been fantastic for us since coming back into the team, and on this form - he will take some replacing
adamlcfcbevo85 Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Liverpool want schmeichel aswel , I wouldn't sell for anything less than 15m it would be harder to replace him if we got anything less than that , and liverpool always pay over the odds for players so maybe 18 m

Jaspa Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 We're going back in for Okazaki apparently. Interesting developments on that recently. His current team are looking to pick up a highly rated young Japanese striker called Yoshinori Muto, Chelsea were heavily linked before. - http://www.eatsleepsport.com/leicester-city/okazaki-reveals-why-foxes-move-failed-1934293.html#.VVSa05Mc-is This has also popped up too - http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/leicester-return-mainz-new-shinji-okazaki-bid-4077243#.VVSbq5Mc_Hg Would we really need another striker though? Ulloa, Kramaric, Vardy, Nugent will surely be a part of next season (If we're Premier League)
lgfualol Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 We're going back in for Okazaki apparently. Wouldn't surprise me. I imagine the owners wouldn't mind if we had a player or two from the East Asia area.

gurru991 Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 We're going back in for Okazaki apparently. I don't see why we would, he's 29 I think with no PL experience . I t would be a crazy gamble at 15 mil
TheStig Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 According to a Danish reporter Arsenal are after Kasper http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/transfers/arsenal-have-contacted-leicester-about-keeper-kasper-schmeichel-ekstra-bladet/ This is the least creditable newspaper north of the Alps so I wouldn t put too much into this "breaking news" and as far as I know Kasper has a contract that expires in 2018..... so the merry -go-round of the rumour mill runs again!!!!

Being in the Prem for 1 season does not make you an established Prem team... Are you mad ?
coolhandfox Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Milner is overrated, bit of a donkey. Really, a quality player who would walk in to our team.

MPH Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 I don't see why we would, he's 29 I think with no PL experience . I t would be a crazy gamble at 15 mil Hardly a reason to not go for a player.... i mean.. cambiasso didnt have any prem experience... 15 mill... thats just laying down the gauntlet...
MPH Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Milner is overrated, bit of a donkey. So Someone who has played 33 games for Man City this year is ' a bit of a donkey'? You really let yourself down with comments like that....
Silverdaz Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 George Friend? He's had a good season. Football 'Friend'
BosomBouncer Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Bad attitude. Plenty of Celtic fans don't rate him and he's been linked with a return to Feyernoord. That goal return in Scotland is pretty poor. To be fair, I hadn't heard of his apparent attitude issues, but it seems he does have an issue. Sad, really. So many top players are thwarted by a terrible attitude and negative mentality. Ferguson famously stated on disruptive players "If they are, you have to cut the cord. There is absolutely no other way. It doesn't matter if the person is the best player in the world." and it appears Pearson seems to have a similar philosophy on troublemakers. I still believe he could've been an excellent player, given the opportunity and appropriate environment/guidance.

BosomBouncer Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Yoann Gourcuff is a free transfer this summer, I think. Had lots of injury problems, but while we're giving unrealistic targets I thought he was worth a mention. 28 years of age, previously transferred for big money.
BosomBouncer Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 The current situation between Strauss and Pieterson is perfect testimony to this Haha, I heard the quote on Talksport (I know, terrible.) today regarding Pietersen!
Dan Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Nick Powell's looking well like fitting in that category too. There's clearly something missing with him and I'm not sure it's ability. If Mainz want £15mil for Okazaki then consider that one binned. We'd be utter mugs to pay that for a 29 year old forward who, whilst clearly decent, isn't what you'd consider a top forward. Definitely think we'll be in for a forward though. Were we not offering about £8mil (around that) for him in January? This was after we'd bought Kramaric too.

He basically lives the life of a student whilst being a professional footballer. Compare him to someone like Raheem Sterling who has an incredible work rate and they are polars apart. He could be as good as he wants to be, he just has to put some ****ing effort in. United have well and truly given up on him under LVG.
