AyewJoking Posted 26 December 2015 Posted 26 December 2015 So Kompany comes on as a sub and is back off not long after. Shame, Okazaki would own him in an aerial battle.
SecretPro Posted 26 December 2015 Posted 26 December 2015 Feel a whole lot better about our result today. Arsenal do this every year, everyone starts talking them up, they start to look good then wham, all goes to shit. As for Spurs, I hope they don't keep creeping up. I ****ing hate them and yes, they do have insufferable fans. One I've known for many years that refuses to accept anything other than 'Spurs are the best team on the planet'. Glad Palace dropped two points today too and have injury woes.
Freesolo Posted 26 December 2015 Posted 26 December 2015 who's getting the most stick tomorrow us that lost one nil in a game that was always gonna be hard, or Arsenal who just got hammered. Im guessing us.
Carl the Llama Posted 26 December 2015 Posted 26 December 2015 How the bloody hell does Costa never get sent off? Awful two footer challenge and he only gets a yellow. Chelsea losing in the league despite an apparent conspiracy to never give a decision against them.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 December 2015 Posted 26 December 2015 Kane scored 25 more, he's still utter wank. Except he isn't. Kane is a one season wonder who will not score more than 12 goals all season, can guarantee it. ONE GAME - I'll bet you a twenty donation to the forum he gets more than a dozen. Twenty a bit rich for my income at the moment, make it ten and I'll up it to twenty once I get a proper job. Hope you're a man of your word - honestly, imagine thinking Kane wouldn't bag more than a dozen goals.
NewEnglandFox Posted 26 December 2015 Posted 26 December 2015 The form table makes for some interesting reading.
Tincy Posted 26 December 2015 Posted 26 December 2015 Hope you're a man of your word - honestly, imagine thinking Kane wouldn't bag more than a dozen goals. should be a £40 donation to the forum for his idiocy
Guest Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 should be a £40 donation to the forum for his idiocy Sure you wanna pull at that thread?
Buzzell Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 Hope you're a man of your word - honestly, imagine thinking Kane wouldn't bag more than a dozen goals. What's Kane on at the minute?
Carl the Llama Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 What's Kane on at the minute? 11 down 2 to go and 20 matches to get them in. Doctor's had a mare there Don't see why anyone would think it's more embarrassing than lying about shagging a rape victim though.
Phube Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 The form table makes for some interesting reading. Shows one thing really well that we all know, but pundits don't! Our defence is now quite good, only 3 teams let in less. Yet still we're tagged as being leaky at the back!?

Dan Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 People on here will eventually admit Kane's a very good forward. Easy to dislike from our perspective due to him being shit on loan here and the main competitor to Vardy in terms of an England space but he's a quality forward, it's impossible to really argue with. Barring our result it actually turned into an alright day for us. Arsenal getting slapped by a horrifically out of form Southampton side and Man City looking like they're without Kompany for Tuesday after all, Man City won but it would've been a shock if they didn't beat this dreadful Sunderland side. Oh, and Lukaku didn't score.
Tuna Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 Did Lukaku score? Igahlo now scored 5 on the bounce...
StriderHiryu Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 This year's Premier League is easily the most open it's ever been. Some people say that the increased amount of money to all has made it more competitive, but I personally think it's the unsuual combination of the top teams being in transition and / or just being poor in general that has opened up the league so much. I think results in the Champions League show this with Arsenal losing to Olympiakos and Dinamo Zagreb before scraping through and Man U being dumped out early. There is a real danger the Premier League could lose it's 4th CL slot and the way our top teams are performing in Europe you couldn't really argue against it! Arsenal are a strange club, I don't think they've improved at all this year but as others have fallen apart it seems they are favourites by default. But the manner in which they lost yesterday after knowing a win would take them top just shows the mental weakness of their team. Man City are for me still the favourites. They have by far and away the best squad and their problem is that they blow hot and cold too much. I think their problem is that although they have great players they don't work cohesively as well as a team unless Kompany / Silva / Aguero are all playing. I can see them going deep into the CL this year (semi-finals?) which might bode well for us. Of all the top teams, they are the ones who I feel are most likely to put a run together. Chelsea have to be the most bizarre case of a Championship winning team possibly ever! They led start to finish last year but look completely disinterested this. I think their predicament would make for a fascinating psychological study. All this means we still have a chance of CL football! It is inevitable we will fall away as the season goes on as we have tough fixtures and a small squad. But it would be a wonderful story for the Premier League if we could do it!

davieG Posted 27 December 2015 Author Posted 27 December 2015 Jason Kundy: 'Diving is a part of the game, I don't know why opposition players get so annoyed by it.' Shit pundits are part of the game, I don't know why fans get so annoyed by them. But we do because one lot are cheats and the others are the lowest form of fungii
Donut Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 Jason Kundy: 'Diving is a part of the game, I don't know why opposition players get so annoyed by it.' Pretty much anyone will take a dive when the opportunity presents itself, no different at Leicester. It IS part of the game, its just a part of the game we rather it wasnt
EnglishOxide Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 No issue with diving. In fact I think the fad has died down a little in the last couple of years. Defenders are making better judgements, and players getting carded for falling over have cut it right down. You do see players exaggerating contact but I think that is also a way of avoiding injury. As in, you know there is going to be contact but there's no point going into a clash full blooded if you can use a split second to get out of harms way. In this league the referees will ignore the childish antics you see in Spanish games. You start rolling around for no reason here and all you are doing is costing your team a man.
Dan Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 Diving's a part of the game because it's a potential for an advantage without any proper repercussions. Until the latter changes, nothing else will.
gurru991 Posted 27 December 2015 Posted 27 December 2015 The referees review the game on tv afterwards and they know who the chronic divers are.
