AKCJ Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 £25 million on Shelvey and Townsend. Crikey Not to mention Thauvin.
Freesolo Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Are Newcastle the worst club in transfer window history? One of the worst but i think Villa nick it for me they have spent so much cash on total shite and are odds on to get relegated
shen Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Are Newcastle the worst club in transfer window history? That would be a bit harsh. The Carroll sale for £35m makes up for a few of their terrible flops. Besides, they have previously made great business with the likes of Cabaye, Debuchy, Sissoko, Tioté, Ayoze, Ba and Shearer off the top of my head. But yes, the list of flops is virtually endless.... One of the worst but i think Villa nick it for me they have spent so much cash on total shite and are odds on to get relegated A bit like Hull when they went down...
ScouseFox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 since andros townsend made his spurs debut at the start of the 11/12 season, he's scored 5 premier league goals. robert huth has scored 6.
Phube Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 since andros townsend made his spurs debut at the start of the 11/12 season, he's scored 5 premier league goals. robert huth has scored 6. How many were free kicks?
AKCJ Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 since andros townsend made his spurs debut at the start of the 11/12 season, he's been utterly shite
Koke Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Word is that sick note Jack Wilshere will sign a new 5 year contract on £110,000 a week. He's played 100 league games in 8 seasons. To put it in perspective, Wes Morgan has played 168 league games for us in 4 and a half seasons. Both Wilshere and Walcott are nicking a living at Arsenal.
Wymsey Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 The PL needs some sort of salary cap introduced for the above reason - it's quite unethical and ridiculous - though, sadly, I think they've scrapped the idea. Would save clubs money and make people to perceive that English top flight football is trying to stop something which is getting more and more hideous.
StanSP Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 solid strike rate 2.94% shot to goal ratio. strong.
Super_horns Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Townsend could be a decent player but quite happy we didn't get him tbh - Flores doesn't use out and out wingers much and £12 million is a lot for somebody who hasn't exactly produced the goods for a while. Least we've played Newcastle twice (well 3 times actually) so he won't come back to haunt us!
Fox92 Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Word is that sick note Jack Wilshere will sign a new 5 year contract on £110,000 a week. He's played 100 league games in 8 seasons. To put it in perspective, Wes Morgan has played 168 league games for us in 4 and a half seasons. Both Wilshere and Walcott are nicking a living at Arsenal. Wilshere is absolutely class on his day though, although they are rare given his injury record as you mention.
filbertway Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Suits their counter attacking style, I'd probably just divide the transfer fee's you see by three if you're still looking at them with the valuations of 2 or 3 seasons ago.
Koke Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Wilshere is absolutely class on his day though, although they are rare given his injury record as you mention. He is class when he plays. But that's only about 3 months a season. His highest number of appearances (25 appearances) came in the 12/13 season.
AKCJ Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 He is class when he plays. But that's only about 3 months a season. His highest number of appearances (25 appearances) came in the 12/13 season. To put that in perspective. Drinkwater made 23 appearances last season and apparently he never got a chance.
Brown Fox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 He is class when he plays. But that's only about 3 months a season. His highest number of appearances (25 appearances) came in the 12/13 season. He played 35 in 10/11, but your point is still valid. Didn't even make an appearance in 11/12!
Danizen Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 palace just signed adebayorI wouldn't have said no to him in their situation. There strikers are awful. Adebayor might be an overpaid **** but he'll score some goals for them.
AKCJ Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Burak Yilmaz supposedly to sign for West Ham for €6. Would be disappointed if we didn't challenge that.
STUHILL Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Glad Palace have signed him. Means they won't be after some of our striker targets now. Could go either way with a signing like that. Hopefully he scores some against the teams challenging us!
Super_horns Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Probably do ok as its just a short term deal...
Dan Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 A lot of these from Wikipedia but... Wijnaldum £14.5mil Mitrovic £13mil Mbemba £8mil Toney £500k Thauvin £12mil Saivet £5mil Shelvey £12mil Townsend £12mil Nearly eighty million quid for that? Absolutely shambolic and unacceptable.
