Guest seanfox778 Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 meh, he's not first choice at chelsea, he's won the champions league and the league, he's played for brazil at a world cup in brazil. he ain't gonna achieve more than he's already achieved really, may as well live somewhere better than chelsea and somehow manage to earn even more money.Yeah you have a good point, he's not going to achieve much more than he already has. I swear Brazilian players careers seem to die down a bit ahead of time too for some reason, leaving at 28 could be a good move, he could do 2 years in China, 2 years in the MLS, 2 years in the Indian Super League and still have a stint in the Middle East. Imagine the money from that.
EastAnglianFox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Jan Vertonghen ruled out for some weeks with ligament damage. Anybody know how big a loss this is for Spurs and if his replacement is any good?
shen Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Jan Vertonghen ruled out for some weeks with ligament damage. Anybody know how big a loss this is for Spurs and if his replacement is any good? Alderweireld certainly didn't play well with Wimmer next to him in the first leg of the FA Cup. Didn't see the replay so cannot comment on how he did next to Dier (?).
weller54 Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Jan Vertonghen ruled out for some weeks with ligament damage. Anybody know how big a loss this is for Spurs and if his replacement is any good? Argh. What a shame!
Fox92 Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Jan Vertonghen ruled out for some weeks with ligament damage. Anybody know how big a loss this is for Spurs and if his replacement is any good? Alderweireld, Wimmer, Dier they're all just as good.
StanSP Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Alderweireld certainly didn't play well with Wimmer next to him in the first leg of the FA Cup. Didn't see the replay so cannot comment on how he did next to Dier (?). pretty well, however we hardly tested him that day. They had a pretty easy job to defend against us that day. Vertonghen will be a fairly big miss though. Him and Alderweireld as a partnership are a big reason Spurs have the best defensive record in the league.
Foxymcoxy Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 How the **** are they getting 12m for that reject...?
sylofox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 FFS DO NOT show Wenger that he will moan like **** about a fixture pile up. The Prem is plotting his downfall.
ScouseFox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 kingfox actively wanted to sell riyad mahrez for a third of the going rate of one andros townsend
Foxymcoxy Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 kingfox actively wanted to sell riyad mahrez for a third of the going rate of one andros townsend Dozens of people round here wanted to take that for Vardy a year ago as well.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Have they photoshopped Wenger and Potch's heads? There's something that doesn't appear right about their photo's???
EnderbyFox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Have they photoshopped Wenger and Potch's heads? There's something that doesn't appear right about their photo's??? It's just Pellegrini and Poch that have been Shopped, just reversed their Photoshop and this was the original image, worrying imo.
Fox92 Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Hodgson will 100% still pick Townsend for the European Championships.
Alf Bentley Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 That would require a hell of a season for the English clubs in Europe: Man City v Arsenal in the Champions League final, plus Spurs in the Europa league final. On the other hand, at least one of them could end up playing more than 5 FA Cup games due to replays. Let's attempt a more realistic estimate.... - LCFC: 15 PL = 15 Total - Man City: 15 PL + 4 FAC + 2 LC + 4 Eur = 25 Total - Arse: 15 PL + 4 FAC + 2 Eur = 21 Total - Spurs: 15 PL + 4 FAC + 4 Eur = 23 Total 15 matches compared to 21-25 matches still looks very beneficial to us - and I may have erred on the conservative side in estimating how far the other 3 will go in the cups. I can't see Arsenal getting past Barcelona, but Man City might reach the Champions League semis, likewise Spurs in the Europa league - and one or more of them could reach the FA Cup Final and need a couple of replays en route.... Up to us to rack up a decent number of points in our 15 matches now - and draws (or better) at Man City & Arsenal could be priceless in this context.
Koke Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 wtf https://twitter.com/SportsPeteO/status/691935095784095744 I wonder how much we can sell for our rejects. In the summer maybe we can get £7m each for Ulloa and Kramaric.
Alf Bentley Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 It's just Pellegrini and Poch that have been Shopped, just reversed their Photoshop and this was the original image, worrying imo. Fritzlgrini & Hitlerino....never knew they were both secret Austrians.
Koke Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 kingfox actively wanted to sell riyad mahrez for a third of the going rate of one andros townsend Many people here wanted to drive Vardy to West Brom for £5m last season .
kingfox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 kingfox actively wanted to sell riyad mahrez for a third of the going rate of one andros townsend So what, a few weeks ago I wouldn't of even paid 5p for Mahrez.
Alf Bentley Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Many people here wanted to drive Vardy to West Brom for £5m last season . Many also thought he couldn't make the step up from non-league to Championship level after his first season here.
shen Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 How the **** are they getting 12m for that reject...? English passport and England caps. It's ridiculous really... I'm sure that a foreign player with the same pedigree would go for half or even a third of that.
Finnegan Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Are Newcastle the worst club in transfer window history?
surrifox Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Looks a bargain ranged against what Grabban was sold for
Koke Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Good move for Townsend though I think. He needs to get his career back on track. Bit like Albrighton. He needed to get away from Villa and start fresh somewhere else. Townsend needs that too. Wouldn't have paid £12m for Albrighton though ever.
Wymsey Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Would love to know how much Villa, Newcastle and Sunderland's team/squad cost them in terms of transfers. Would have a bet that all of them paid more than we have.
