Guest CityFan 06 Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 Important win for Palace today. I think they had enough to stay up anyway, but still a good 3pts nevertheless to give them a more comfortable cushion away from the relegation zone.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 Say it how you see it. Can't argue you..all three run in amateurish terms. Err Col shouldn't you be paying attention to the wife right now?
ithuriel Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 Villa were a big club, now they may well fall like a stone just like Bolton has.
ARM1968 Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 Surprised and delighted for Howe and Bournmouth. Great effort. Same with Watford. I thought they'd both be gone. Be nice if all 3 promoted clubs stayed up this season.
The Doctor Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 Leeds won the top flight more recently. Other than that, their best success was under Revie so League titles, FA Cup final and their European Cup final defeat were 70s. Villa's success was ten years later in the 80s. For the last twelve years Leeds have played in tiers two and three, Villa have been ever present in the top flight (finishing top 6 several times too). Which was relevant when they got relegated how? Look at it - when they went down they were a top half side, pushing for Europe and even making the semi finals of the CL 3 years earlier. Villa haven't been anything more than relegation fodder for the best part of 5 years since they got rid of MON. In terms of history, pretty much the same. So how can Leeds not have been a bigger club getting relegated than villa are this season?
Great Boos Up Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 Great win by the Swans! Could put Chelski with nowt to play for on the last day.
WesMorganGod Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 Arsenal dropped 2 points, if Spurs draw or lose tomorrow, and we win then the title is all but over, its basically done.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 Great win by the Swans! Could put Chelski with nowt to play for on the last day. They have been thinking that way already, experimenting

Agree Villa have been shite in recent seasons but I cannot agree on history as Villa have won much more than Leeds. Villa have more League Titles, more domestic trophies and also won the European Cup. But as buny said it's all about perception. You obviously measure it different to me, and that's fine, football is all about opinions.
biggs Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 Man U will want to keep up with their City rivals. They need the win tomorrow
WesMorganGod Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 West Ham are a good team, they will lose against us next week because nothing can stop the journey now, but they are a good team and Noble and Payet are class.
Guest Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 Robbie Savage vs the Villa fan on 606 start around 19:30 mins in classic bantz

That they've been bobbins since is irrelevant - if Man Utd were to go down next year and end up slowly dropping through, then spend 20/30 years bouncing between leagues 1 and 2 they wouldn't suddenly not be one of the biggest clubs to be relegated.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 Just to say getting abit tight in La Liga now if barca don't win today, 1 down at the moment ... starting to suffer a bit of late. We will take them easily in the CL next season
ThaiFox Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 Want Man City to win. The bigger the gap to West Ham the better as less West Ham will have to play for against us if they can't catch 4th spot It was the right result for us. It puts big pressure for Man Ure to get a result at spuds tomorrow and hopefully both West Ham and Man Ure will have a very long reply ET next week. Just hope Man Ure win or draw at tottingham, as that would be fantastic for us.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 that arsenal fan channel makes me want to commit
Donut Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 Hes scored a hattrick today, fair play. But im not having Carroll on the plane to France. Hes very overrated. Its easy to be wise after the event, im not having him as good enough.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 ****ing hell, Pawson had a mare, Wham got denied a solid goal
Matt Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 Hes scored a hattrick today, fair play. But im not having Carroll on the plane to France. Hes very overrated. Its easy to be wise after the event, im not having him as good enough. But as I keep saying can you honestly say Sturridge is better? His lazyness is what annoys me, atleast Carroll will roll his sleeves up. Ok, I'm willing to conceade Welbeck is probably better, but Carroll > Sturridge.
AKCJ Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 Sturridge is in wank form both on and off the pitch. Carroll might not be brilliant but he's a different option. I would probably prefer Carroll. When he's up for it he's unplayable.

Ok, I'm willing to conceade Welbeck is probably better, but Carroll > Sturridge. For me, yes Sturridge is better. Thats my opinion. Bloke was lucky to get the hattrick really, booked after 2 mins, numerous fouls in the game and elbowed Gabriel in the face.
