The Express & Star says Villa are considering moving for Vardy, whose value has risen after his call-up to the full England team. Vardy finished the season by helping City to survival, which caught national boss Roy Hodgson's eye, and his club will battle to keep him. The 28-year-old may also decide he wants to stay at the King Power Stadium, too, but Villa believe a £7million bid might tempt the Foxes.
Foxymcoxy Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Hahaha yeah 7m is gonna tempt us about as much as Villa is gonna tempt Vardy.
LCCFox96 Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 The fact that there is no rough concrete value set on Vardy in these articles, rather journalists lob random figures about between £5mil and £15mil, tells you these articles are shite! Vardy isn't likely to anywhere, let alone Aston Villa.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 7m thats peanuts. No thanks, anyway did you not watch the game yesterday. Very poor side indeed.
LCCFox96 Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Very poor side indeed. When you lose 4-0 and your 39 year old goalkeeper is your best player, then you have a problem.
cc_star Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Not so much about what Vardy is worth, but what he's worth to us Who could we sign for whatever money we were to sell him for that would do the job we need doing?
lgfualol Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Why would we give one of our relegation rivals one of our best players.
Guest Cujek Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Sherwoods honeymoon is well and truly over, they are a very poor side, they need 5 or 6 quality signings to even hope to finish mid table, they will loose Benteke, they are in serious trouble, Vardy wouldnt go there.
ALC Fox Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Villa have potential if they invest and had owners that care and are committed. Right now we're the better prospect and are better placed to mount an assault on the top half of the table.
Guest Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Villa will lose Benteke for a lot of cash and then have to spend big money to avoid being bottom next season.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Wouldn't sell unless they were offering £30 million plus
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 31 May 2015 Posted 31 May 2015 Whether he is or he isn't he plays for Southampton and won't be coming anywhere near Leicester other than in 1 away fixture next season.
Dan Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 Villa's a step down. That cup final was hilarious. We're head and shoulders above that wreck. Arsenal didn't come even close to doing that to us yet they've effectively served Villa their arses on a plate three times.
Rincewind Posted 1 June 2015 Posted 1 June 2015 7 mill when we paid more for Kram who has been on the bench most of the season?
Narborough_fox Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-news-live-manchester-united-5875178 Villa eye Vardy Tim Sherwood is eyeing a move for England new boy Jamie Vardy. The Aston Villa boss wants to add to his attacking options even if Christian Benteke stays and the 28-year-old Leicester star is on his radar. The Foxes value Vardy, who made his Three Lions debut in the goalless draw with Ireland last Sunday, at around £15million. But that won’t deter Sherwood who is planning to put his stamp on his squad in what will be his first transfer window since taking over from Paul Lambert. Although Vardy managed just five Premier League goals last season, he more than played his part as Leicester beat the drop. Now Villa are on his case with Sherwood keen to take him from East to West Midlands.
Carl the Llama Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 Villa As if Vardy's looking to make a shuffle backwards at this point in his career.
Jimothy Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 Benteke + 40m pls Why would we want that lazy bastard? £70m or no deal.
