How are people under the illusion that vardy couldn't be replaced for £15 million?! That can buy a whole range of strikers who'd score more goals and even provide more assists. If our scouts are to be as good as they are believed to be imagine what they could find with such funds?! Mind you we probably will never get that sort of money for him.

What I don't understand is that the media believe charlie Austin will go for £10 million while vardy will go for £15 million!

I don't  think it's  about finding another striker it's  about finding one that plays the same style of football. The reason for having a number of strikers besides cover is to provide  you with options  and that's  what Vardy gives in fact his style is fairly unique

i understand completely what people are saying in terms of his value to our team and his style of play being important in terms of our playing style, however football is about improving your players, and if that's ether by their own progression in play or If we buy someone better. All I'm saying is we could perhaps get a better player and improve with such money which I don't think you can argue too much against.

I'd sell him for 15 million put it that way if we had a good replacement lined up, which I'm sure with our scouts in place take into account such a possibility.

Something else to consider when buying any player that it's a risk even if they appear on paper to be improving the team. Also £15m aint a lot of money for a top flight decent player.

If there is a player better than Vardy, for less than £15m then I'd rather we buy him in addition to Vardy, rather than a replacement.

I wouldn't sell him but come on girls, if we can get a great player for £25m we could use that 15 and add another 10 no problem.

25m is quite a big step up from where a lot of our players are at. If we bought a 25m player, wouldn't we need to improve a lot of the players around him in order to get full value out of his potential? 

 

 

I would see Vardy as an important stepping-stone in reaching that next level of overall squad quality, Maybe where we have a few more players valued at around 10-15m

You could spend £15 mill on a player and it could take them a year to settle in even then they could turn our average to crap in our set up, Kramaric is still not really up to speed after 5 months.

Even £50K a week would be a low wage for a £25 million pound player.

Second season syndrome is a fact teams that do not evolve get found out.

 

What kept us up this year may not do it next we need to play better football just running and chasing won't keep us up this season.

 

15m spent right can get us two good players and lets be honest god forbid one injury Vardy could be finished.

Take his pace away what has he got.

Owen was a far better player but once his pace had gone he was finished.

Owen was finished because he lost his desire, Vardy doesn't strike me as the sort of player that would happen to.

It really was his pace he lost... Wouldn't of gone to Newcastle if he had lost his desire...

It's a fantastic fee but I wouldn't want it, rather have the player. Vardy is integral to how we play and he's adapting to the league.

I just hope all this doesn't go to his head... All the media attention, the England call up, the supposed intrest from other clubs.. The last thing we need is him turning into a billy big balls...
