J.Lisemore Posted 2 July 2015 Posted 2 July 2015 Im sorry but us as a country are just cursed. We will never win anything because simply, were not supposed to.
Rincewind Posted 2 July 2015 Posted 2 July 2015 I was not looking forward to extra time and trying to stay awake but I would have tried for an England win. Be4 now.
FireFox Posted 2 July 2015 Posted 2 July 2015 FFS. And now they are hugging her and giving her comfort? Let her cry alone. I'm gonna have to listen to Japanese women shrieking for 90 minutes because of her. Probably mute it again, but still.
leicsmac Posted 2 July 2015 Posted 2 July 2015 That's pure cruel. Cutting out the through ball could have gone anywhere. 999 times out of 1000 it goes safe.

Does 'Japanese women shrieking' bring back too many dirty, distorted memories?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jattdogg Posted 2 July 2015 Posted 2 July 2015 Shrieking so true. But i cant see japanese beating usa
Rincewind Posted 2 July 2015 Posted 2 July 2015 At least the playoff and final are on a little earlier
J.Lisemore Posted 2 July 2015 Posted 2 July 2015 Sickening, only happens to England. Okay there's having a bit of bad luck every now and again, but this is just ridiculous. If that was Japan scoring that own goal, I'm positive it wouldnt have been given.
Guest Kopfkino Posted 2 July 2015 Posted 2 July 2015 Only we could cock it up like that, gutted. So refreshing to see England players and manager actually give a shit, maybe the quality isn't there but I applaud the effort throughout
The Railway Man Posted 2 July 2015 Posted 2 July 2015 Is it true the England players were celebrating until the ref explained the rules?

Guest Kopfkino Posted 2 July 2015 Posted 2 July 2015 I find it amusing that we were so desperate for goaline technology after the Lampard incident against Germany and now it has given a goal that was similar in the way it bounced down, cos lets be honest how useless the officials have been this tournament, they wouldnt have given it
The Railway Man Posted 2 July 2015 Posted 2 July 2015 Let's be honest the good thing is no one really gives a shit, imagine if the men's side did that. We'd be devastated for months.
leicsmac Posted 2 July 2015 Posted 2 July 2015 Let's be honest the good thing is some, but not many people really give a shit, imagine if the men's side did that. Lots of folk would be devastated for months. FYP.
fuchsntf Posted 2 July 2015 Posted 2 July 2015 The bar and post saved Japan, England playing and strouting their stuff.Barret one of the top players not just for England, but the tournament is punished trying to be honest In 4 secs Japan get a rebound fall to them and an attempted block becomes a deflection, and after ball deflections all night in the japanese half, the football god then decided he didnt want to stay awake through extra time, tilted the pitch and gave Japan an undeserved slice of luck. I have seen some poor football in this WC, but the last-eight games produced some quality football, and exciting games. Japan fortunate last night, but they do set up well, their pressing, the quick one twos, with their players feeling confident on the ball.
Wymsey Posted 2 July 2015 Posted 2 July 2015 So unlucky, but I get it's England and something like this was bound to happen when things were going well.
Nalis Posted 2 July 2015 Posted 2 July 2015 An injury time own goal, what an English way to get knocked out of a tournament. Ridiculous own goal but you have to feel for the lass.
BoneDog Posted 2 July 2015 Posted 2 July 2015 The commentary on the own goal had me in stitches. "OH NOOO. OFF THE BAAARRRR AND DOWWN". It was all quite comical to be honest. I just hope that they get their own website pages and tv channels because I was fed up of the amount of space it took up on the mens sites. Who goes on BBC Sport football page to read about womens football for crying out loud? Defo deserves a separate section. It's like a different sport if you ask me and far removed from the mens game. EDIT : No offence, and good luck in all the future tourno's ladies.
