Cambiasso to stay? It depends on the Mrs

Anyone else, we would be hacked off! But as its the gorgeous Cambi, we can forgive.

Yeah definitely although I think a few people are beginning to get annoyed now, I hope its just a case of he waited for the manager going off what fourth official and querty have said he's agreed to stay but theres a few contractual issues still to be sorted out

Exactly, they are just playing the smart game and trying to milk it like before. Maybe not him but his rep's will be.

At some point the club need to draw a line though and say beyond x date we move on to plan B.

I really hope Camby signs another year with us

Would be hard to replace (and no not with dodgy Sunderland player who fouls everyone either Col lol)

It's been very quiet today. They've been in England this week, as we've seen from Federicco's tweets, so maybe today has been 'heads down' and finalise the deal day. It won't be long before we find out I'm sure.

Not really bothered tbh. It won't be the cambiasso of last season, I'm sure this will be his last at the highest level. So I expect him to be a disappointment before heading off to Australia or USA

Is it possible he wants to talk to Ranieri face to face and doesn't want to go to Austria to do it because of all the attention that would cause.

Not like he can jump on a plane without our lot noticing!

If he doesn't sign having played under Claudio before! That would say a lot about our new manager

And when he does sign that will also say something about Claudio.

I'm betting that you're a glass half empty kind of man!

I'm guessing the delay is EC wants to meet CR to dicsuss his role for next season. Looks like from what the twitterers like fourth official are saying about him agreeing to stay, my guess is that what that actually means is he has verbally agreed to stay but in reality has yet to sign which is a very dangerous situation.

The manager and players return tomorrow. Why would the club want him to sign without making a big 'song and dance' about it, with Ranieri?

I think you have nailed it to be honest. There will definitely be some carefully worded statement that (true or not) leads many fans to believe Ranieri was a big part in the re-signing.Both parties need to agree the wording.

The PR impact of the 2 together is huge and will lead many a fan to accept Ranieri. Some will take more convincing but that picture will stick in their mind. (This would also answer the reason for the Federico tweet as thunder is being stolen)

If there is no announcement over the weekend and he isn't in pre-season next week but does eventually sign just before season start, he will have slipped a few notches down my 'Man-love-O'meter only because I always saw him as 'A Great'        And in my book, to be 'A Great' you must be everything I think he is.........A   'team guy' that motivates and sticks by the lads through thick and thin,  and hence think he should go through the shite that is pre-season and fight for his place along with the rest of them.

For those who say - why wouldn't he hold out / miss pre-season, he can go anywhere he chooses.... I totally agree too but that just makes him 'human'. To me he is more than that right now, I've known few people like him and yes I will be disappointed to find out he I merely human like the rest of us  :)
