I am feeling a bit more confident now as it seems to be between coming to us or staying at Caen, on much lower wages, with Marseille out of the picture it seems. Especially if we get Aránguiz can see him coming.

Nothing will happen with this guy until he is just about to sign for someone else, and that is when we'll strike.

Think Ruskin's still just experimenting. Throwing £7m at everything stopped working so he's moved onto bidding €14m for players who have already agreed deals elsewhere. Wonder what his next plan will be

Latest twitter stuff on this is their club president saying an offer is forthcoming from West Ham and he has already agreed to join them.

I'd understand if he went to West Ham. If he ended up someone like Sunderland I'd be confused.

Who'd have thought that throwing away years of a progressive plan would backfire

Anyway, at least we've got an 'elite' manager who'll sort it out

We would have been no better or worse off if Pearson was still in charge. I think we just need to lower the expectation of players we can attract.

I was happy with players NP was trying to sign. CR list ? has he get one do they even want to come here? not really.

or just a bit of luck. Get some momentum going  - if Cambiasso had decided to stay that could've been the difference. Who know's - I'd have thought Ranieri might've had a little more pulling power. You can't never fault our club for setting their sights high - aim for the stars and you'll reach the sky n all that.

aim for the stars but wait until they've signed for someone else first
