Wymsey Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 At least Stoke away is early. Hopefully Chelsea 'run away with it again' and play half of their reserves when we visit them.
4everfox Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Dreadful time to travel to Bournemouth. Hopefully they start well and we bring them back down to earth, I could see that happening.
Dan Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Any desktop backgrounds going around? Can't find one on Sky this year.
adam95581 Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 It was this time last year that I realised how tough the league was going to be...and it's today that I realise how tough next year is going to be. Something about seeing the patterns on paper (playing 3 or 4 top sides in a row) makes you realise how well we must perform to survive and how much of an achievement last year was. Bring it on!!!
premier blues Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 West Ham away on TV my guess Slaven Bilic first League Home game
biggs Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Some tough runs in there December and February but many teams will have the same so not really concerned. We saw last season how the premiership is punishing for the simplest of mistakes and hopefully we will learn a lot from having that year under our belt
biggs Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Bournemouth last five: Liverpool, Chelsea, Everton, West Brom, Man U.
Wymsey Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Can imagine Watford being hyped up by the media during the Summer - all about Elton John and his pal Graham Taylor.
Blue army boys Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 There's no doubting our run in is tough but I can still see us getting at least 15pts from our last 7 games
Guest ttfn Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 We play all of last year's top 5 at home in the first half of the season - I think we'll have a stronger second half of the season again as a result.
Leicesterpool Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Can imagine Watford being hyped up by the media during the Summer - all about Elton John and his pal Graham Taylor. Every time southern club gets promoted they get all the coverage going, I can't remember Leicester and Burnley getting much coverage pre season. QPR did though.
LanguedocFox Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 I think a lot depends on whether/how well we can maintain the momentum from the end of last season. To some extent that depends on keeping the players who had an important part in that run - especially Cambiasso and Huth, but also Albrighton, Vardy, Mahrez, and Schlupp. With the team that played against (for example) QPR or Southampton, and the addition of players like Fuchs and a couple of others, I think we should be well set for the first few months. We will need to be, because the end of the calendar year and the end of the season look awful. I'm looking forward to it. Should be a good one.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Shall we have a whip around: Fees Football DataCo charges a standard fee for the reproduction of fixture lists, which currently stands at: £266 plus VAT to print the fixtures of one English club. That is ridiculous. That list will in effect be reproduced many times over (and not just here) as the season progresses and we discuss each game in turn. So could it be reproduced by inserting a comment of expectation after each fixture, thereby changing it from a list, but into a narrative about the list? Regardless, I prefer an easier start and a hard run in. Get wins, get confidence, get points early and the last three games will be moot.
Dan Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Any desktop backgrounds going around? Can't find one on Sky this year. Scrap. Made one myself. Yes, it is paint.
Soar Fox Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Guess the first games to be moved then. I reckon West Ham away will be on sky for Slaven Bilic's first home game and maybe Tottenham the following week.
st albans fox Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 We play all of last year's top 5 at home in the first half of the season - I think we'll have a stronger second half of the season again as a result. Just glanced through the fixtures and this is what stood out to me. Our home game run in in excellent. if we can have a better first half of the season, we could have a fun second half, moreso at the KP where we should be aggressive and throw caution to the wind. Of course, playing all the top sides at home first half could mean we are looking at a broad rerun of last season.
Super_horns Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Can imagine Watford being hyped up by the media during the Summer - all about Elton John and his pal Graham Taylor. Bookies have us down as relegation favourites and I cannot see the why we are run being too popular with the pundits. TBF The Elton/GT era is a thing of the past!
possiblygeorge Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 This is the season where we start to assert ourselves in the premier league or it could very well be the opposite. Defining season, cannot wait for it to kick off!
6ups 6downs 2 cups Posted 17 June 2015 Posted 17 June 2015 Well at least I've booked the dates off work I needed to for all our home games, even took into account games that might be moved for TV, took the 'risk' Sunderland and Palace at home wont be moved! My manager thought I was mad with the requests!
