0% chance I'll get a ticket for Bournemouth!

You actually couldn't pick a better fixture date but what will our allocation be? 1000 max?

If a City fan doesn't want to go to that there's something wrong with them!

Also Liverpool away boxing day! Wasn't it New Years Day last year?

December is probably the best time to play top sides. They are more likely to rotate as the Champions League groups play their final games and the League Cup keeps cutting in.

The last three games are yikes though.

I reckon Bournemouth could be on telly. They will want to show them at home early doors. Bournemoith's other home fixtures comes against other decent fixtures whereas the weekend they play us doesn't.

This just in....

You have to play all 19 teams home and away, exactly the same as last season

Momentum and confidence is important especially for us where for the last few seasons we have been on title winning form or relegation form.

That December period could kill any momentum and confidence and see us plummet down the table and we know what happens when we go on a bad run it lasts a long time.

Getting a good start will build confidence and belief and take the pressure off.

They'd put Bournemouth v Villa on ahead of Bournemouth v Leicester I'd imagine.

I don't really see many TV games for us for a while there. Spurs at home maybe.

Bogey ground number one our first away game. Bogey ground number two early December.

Can I reproduce Football Association Premier League fixtures on my website?

The Football Association Premier League

The Football Association Premier league is the top flight football tournament in England. It is administered by the Football Association Premier League and is regulated by the English Football Association.

The Fixture List

The fixture list is created initially by a computer generated system and then through consultation with the clubs and then produced prior to the season beginning.

Copyright protection in the fixture list

All of the FA Premier League fixtures are protected by copyright under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1998 and are owned by the FA Premier League. If you wish to reproduce the fixture list or any part of it on your website or in your publication the Football Association would expect you to pay a licence fee for the use of this information.

Websites and publications reproducing the fixture list

You will see many publications including websites and print publications reproducing the FA Premier League fixture list. These websites and publications will all have paid for the licence fee which is expected to be around £250.

Are there any websites and publications which do not need to pay for the licence fee?

The official websites of the clubs participating in the FA Premier League will not be required to pay for a licence fee for the use of the fixture lists.

Furthermore if you produce a website or a publication which is an officially nominated fanzine for a particular club you will not be required to pay a licence fee for the use of the fixture list. If you operate a fanzine but are not nominated as an official club fanzine you can post a link of your website to your clubs official site.

What happens if I do not have a licence?

If you do not have a licence to print the fixture list there is no provision under UK law for any fixtures to appear in advance of the match being played. If you mention more than one fixture this will not be accepted and you will be found to be in breach of Copyright laws.

Can I mention just one fixture?

In order to infringe copyright protection you must have reproduced a substantial part of the work. Simply mentioning a fixture in an article or on a website prior to or after the match will not constitute a substantial part of the work. It is thought that however, more than one match will be deemed to be a substantial part of the work.

Are there any other rights which may protect a fixture list under UK law?

In 2004 a decision was made in relation to football fixture lists being protected under the European Union Database right.

It's a stupid rule I agree but you can't exactly blame anyone on here for implementing it. Blame the tightarse wankers not those on here.

If we need points in the last three, let's hope all the European spots and title is wrapped up by then. West Brom beat Chelsea 3-0 after they won the title I think, so let's hope it's the same for us.

Except Bournemouth v Villa clashes with better fixtures elsewhere whereas our visit doesn't.

It's a hunch anyway.

No but they may well make them pay the fine.

Go and use them then... or is it too hard to have two windows open at the same time?

If this was your site, and you were the one who had previously received solicitors letters about a multitude of things, you might feel differently.

We have shown last season that with the right attitude, we can potentially beat a large portion of the top teams in this division, only Chelsea seem far out of reach at the moment.

It's not about the fixture list or runs, it's being consistent that matters. We have a great nucleus of players, a manager that keeps improving, a more than decent youth academy and an enthusiastic and mostly positive fanbase.

Having said that, I do hope we put in more effort this time around on a more constant basis and that we'll never have to endure such a dry spell like in between last October and March again.

Here's to Sunderland at home as the opening fixture and to Bournemouth away (which I won't do, because I've already been there).

Still need to do Stoke, Norwich, Newcastle, Swansea, Liverpool, Everton, Spurs, Arsenal, Sunderland and Manchester United away.  :nigel:

Hopefully we won't need many points in the last three to guarantee European football, and we can rotate our squad to allow Drinkwater, Vardy and Moore some rest time in preparation for Euro 2016.

Maybe they paid the fee, or maybe they got fined. And maybe Mark, the owner of this free to use forum, doesn't fancy doing either out of his own pocket.

Good to start at home, hopefully we can open with a victory against a potential rival in the table.

Our first TV match will be Arsenal.

Football match fixture list copyright claim rejected

Football authorities in England and Scotland have had a court claim over football fixtures' copyright rejected.

European judges said compiling match fixture lists needed "significant" work, but did not entail the creativity required for copyright protection.
