At least 19 people have been killed in an attack on a tourist hotel in the Tunisian resort town of Sousse, according to the interior ministry.

At least one gunman has been shot dead and another is being pursued, officials say.

Sousse is a popular tourist destination.

Tunisia has been on high alert since March when militants killed 22 people, mainly foreign tourists, in an attack on a museum in the capital Tunis.

Really scary. What absolute psychopaths.

It has been a very bad year for France and Tunisia. Tunisia especially, with tourism being a huge asset.

Absolutely deranged. Sounds like the French one was trying to blow up the building, thankfully it looks like he was foiled from doing that.

Not wanting to make light of the bloke being beheaded in saying that though. Utterly grim. Some absolute wrong'uns about in the world at the moment.

I'm going to Turkey in a few weeks... Should I be worried?

Absolutely no reason to worry. As long as you're not staying around the Syrian/Iraq border you're fine.

I'm going in a couple of weeks too and it's got me worried a bit, but i suppose once the booze takes over, all is forgotten.

My colleague who is there and I were laughing about the chances of being hit by a terror attack. I think anyone going anywhere near the middle East or an Islamic country need to be cautious.

Same here. You have to be cautious really wherever you go in fairness.

Tbf they may well have done. By it's nature you don't really hear much about counter-terrorism.

The secret is out...we spend more on counter-terrorism. Than the poor & Homeless...Holiday in safe places & let the So called Muslims kill & fight each other...
