inckley fox Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 No, sacking Nigel Pearson was the last thing we needed. They're at fault here, not us. They can fvcking have it. I'll pause to hear their side of the story if, as seems unlikely, they can be bothered to tell it. Otherwise I'm 100% with you.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 At face value, it suggests that, far from the off-field stuff being insignificant, the chickens have probably come home to roost. With the three silly sods in Thailand likely being the proverbial straw. I'm still massively shocked though. Where do we go from here? God knows....
paulsherwood1 Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Sounds a lot like the words of a man who was disappointed when Nigel proved him wrong last season. Not at all. As I have always said, I'm a Leicester City fan first and foremost. The man who leads us gets my support unless he leads us poorly. I don't care who they are. NP has done some fantastic things for Leicester, however I support the club, not him.
Foxymcoxy Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 It's the timing that's weird and surprising - go back three months and huge portion of our fans wanted him gone. The owners stuck by him through the FOAD, McArthur and ostrich incidents and the tragic run of form. He then guides us to 14th, signs Fuchs, Huth and Okazaki and then we sack him? It's ****ing bizarre. Fuchs said the manager was a big reason why he signed too. I'm sure Huth would have said the same.
Guest Cujek Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 All of our players were Nigel's players, they all worked well together. We're probably going to get some tosser come in and switch it all up. I dont think we will get a tosse3 I think the thais have learnt their lesson with the sven debacle. They must have something lined up, surely?
AS78UK Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Gutted....but must have faith in owners. Can only imagine what condescending comments Nig has made to the owners to puss them of this much. But it appears to be an instant decision, as he has been backed in the market this window already
kimsalabim Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Fvck sake they just mentioned Gareth Southgate, anyone for a suicide pact? I'm in.
FoxTrott Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Horrible decision. I guess a business one though. Better now than 3 games in when potential candidates have already been snapped up. OSTRICH, OSTRICH!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Seems that he was sacked not because of ability that is clear, can only be what happened in Thailand, pretty much f***ed everything up
lgfualol Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 I dont think we will get a tosse3 I think the thais have learnt their lesson with the sven debacle. They must have something lined up, surely? I would hope so, else we're ****ed.
woddyuk Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Got to be connected to the Thailand issue involving his son. Does make his position untenable if you look without blue tinted specs. Timings odd but they wouldn't let him go without a replacement limed up already. Cambiasso caretaker??
lifted*fox Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 I'm sorry but this can't be over the incident with his son. If I embarrassed my dad by acting like that he'd tell me I got exactly what I deserved and that'd be the end of it. I'd imagine Pearson would have told him he was lucky to be playing ****ing football in the first place and shouldn't have acted like such a twat.
Guest Cujek Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/leicester/next-permanent-manager Sam I wouldnt be to unhappy with, Lennon is to un proven, mon is past it now. The rest on that list can **** off and die
TheUltimateWinner Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 If anyone was to take over I'd want it to be either Cambiasso or one of Niges existing backroom staff.. Great men are forged in fire...
BlueSi13 Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Lets be realistic. Pearson was not capable at this flight. Preforming a miracle does not mean he is that good. He somehow unfvcked the season at the end which I love, however for the whole year he was pretty much dire, in the game and out. I have always been unsure of Pearson in the premiership; many others did a while ago too. Something is in the works for sure. A lot of people slamming the owners. Lets remember that these owners have not made many bad decisions. They have done an unbelievable job and have never done us over. I trust them more than Pearson. Can hardly be a rushed decision, how long did they take to sack the 3 players caught up in the scandal? They are a calculated group and I think if they made this call, we ought to wait for more official information before we rush to the "i want a refund" posts. Something happened and I believe it has been in the works for some time. Lets wait and find out, the owners deserve that much at least. Are you actually being serious? Seriously, are you? His record for us has been absolutely outstanding. Best manager this club has had since O'Neill and one of the greatest in it's history without a doubt.
act smiley Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Can't be to do with his kid. We're a PL club, not a Sunday league outfit. What about Simpson though? I could imagine a situation where "hang on, the hooker thing's sack-worthy and this isn't?" (or, perhaps if the owners wanted to do a sacking but Pearson wanted to keep him) could be an argument starter.
sylofox Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 The bookies must have been tipped off to make him favourite. Don't suppose we will ever find out what happened.
Ollie93 Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Fuchs said the manager was a big reason why he signed too. I'm sure Huth would have said the same. Can they leave? Even though they have signed contracts?
GingerrrFox Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 The owners are mugs. All of this over 3 young players drunkenly having it off with 3 Thai brasses. They haven't got a scooby.
FLINTHAMFC Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 The only thing that could make such a catastrophic decision worse would be to replace our Nige with dyche. I can see a player exodus in the not too distant future.
inckley fox Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 What a ridiculous thing to say. We wouldn't be in the position we're in without the owners. They probably have a very good reason because at the end of the day our success is just as important to them as it is to us And who delivered that success? Which of their three managers (one of which they supposedly wanted in to replace our last successful manager, whoever he might have been) took us up two leagues and kept us in the top flight? He had us in the play-offs three years before he did exactly the same thing under their supervision. History will credit Pearson, not the owners, for our resurgence since 2008. And if their very good reason has anything to do with ostriches, James Pearson or Okazaki then they can **** themselves.
lifted*fox Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 If we end up with someone like Southgate or Dyche I will be cancelling the direct debit for my season ticket.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 On the radio right now, same caller:"I think the only way [Nigel] could have taken us into Europe is through a cup competition.""[Laudrup] did a great job at Swansea, he got them into Europe."
Chap84 Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Give the owners a break! Everyone going on as if it's the end of the world. Let's see who is appointed first and then give them a bit of time too before everyone starts putting the boot in. Remember Pearson was given plenty of time. For all we know the owners probably think he has taken us as far as he can can? The relationship could of been pushed to far apart by Pearsons antics and madness? Also everyone pointing out the last 9 games!!! What about the rest of the games before that?
