The Horse's Mouth Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 The Mercury isn't the source. "reports in Holland" is hardly a source
jimmeh Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 If things start to go wrong then I imagine Philips or the coach will get fired and Hiddink to take over until end of season
Babylon Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING Do they want Hiddink just because he was the Korea coach that one time they paid to get into the semi finals? I feel like in a few seasons time the club is just going to be Asia King Power Ltd FM Perhaps they will buy off all the premier league refs.
Guest MattP Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Imagine appointing a manager of a Premier League Club and having that much confidence and ability in him you put a supervisor in charge of him Can only hope this is just the Mercury either making it up or getting the wrong end of stick, these things never work.
AyewJoking Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 We care about football, specifically Leicester City. They care about King Power.
lgfualol Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Perhaps they will buy off all the premier league refs. If that's the case, bring him in!
muzzycomeback Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Do the owners realise that the best way to 'raise profile around the world' is to have on-field success?
Captain... Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 I actually think Mandaric was more clued up on how to appoint a manager than these prats. These prats haven't said anything, judge them on the people they appoint not on the rumours. What they have always been good at is keeping things internal and not doing their business through the press. Calm down and stick the cricket on.
Webbo Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Do the owners realise that the best way to 'raise profile around the world' is to have on-field success?I'm sure that's never occurred to them.
Babylon Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 A) it's a rehash of the old article, nothing new. B) It's a dodgy google translation, so don't take "supervisor" literally.
Stevosevic Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 It's just hit me that we've sacked Pearson and what the likely outcome of this 'recruitment' process is going to be. It's sunk in, i'll be watching all my Pearson season review DVDs tonight.

Grey Fox Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Do the owners realise that the best way to 'raise profile around the world' is to have on-field success? That's so last decade. A big name manager is where it's at these days
Gerard Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Joceyln Gourvennec has one year left on his contract at Guingamp. Let's get him in now or arrange for him to come next season and let Hiddink come for a year and be done with it.
Frank to be Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 This would be unusual, and wouldn't inspire a great deal of confidence, but it's just a crap, old, rumour. There is nothing new in this at all. It's no more credible than the 500 other rumours. Probably should just change the thread title back before some posters absolutely lose their minds over this.
Babylon Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Southampton sacked there manager after getting promotion from league 1 to the premiership. Where are they now Southampton actually have a plan. Southampton are already scouting their next manager should they sack their current one, or should he get poached. Southampton's scouting departments etc are Southampton's, they do not come and go with managers. They get managers to work within their framework. We.... well, we let good managers go (twice), sign up shit managers (twice), panic and cancel sacking / re-hire the good coach (twice). They sack someone half way through preseason after already signing players for the past manager. I fear... we don't have a Southampton style plan.

egg_fried_rice Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 http://www.vi.nl/nieuws/hiddink-heeft-geen-interesse-in-vacature-bij-leicester-city.htm Good. Hope those reports are accurate. Would've probably accepted him in a standard management position, but not in the farcical position that has been mooted.

Kitchandro Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Paulo Sousa? Pretty harsh to blame him, isn't it? Not really, we were doing great under Pearson, he comes in and turns us to shit in a matter of weeks. The whole season we were on the back foot because of him. He made Sven look a good manager.
escos Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 People seem to forget that MON was hardly ever on the training pitches. His team, his ideas, but he instructed his coaches and let them get on with it. It seemed to work then!
