Predrag Radosavljević (aka Preki)

you know I've always thought we were a little short on coaching staff - maybe he's been identified via scouting etc as a very good technical coach to support the existing set up as Pearson was also a technical coach and maybe the manager coming in is merely a .... (where is FT poster - JamesMilner ).... Supervisor  :)  (Head coach whatever you want to call it)

So is this the 'less experienced coach' that the club were hoping Guus Hiddink would 'supervise'?

Two minor issues with that plan.

If you'd have told me, ten days ago, that we'd be facing this prospect then I'd probably have vomited straight in your face.

If (and these are all ifs right now) Preki is coming but as an assistant to Bob Bradley, I'd take that over nearly every option that's realistically available now.

If he is coming then he must have been chosen by our new manager.  There is no way the club would appoint a member of the backroom staff who could be sacked days later.

What's so great about Bob Bradley? Know barely anything about him but he'd spent all of his career in America before going to manage Egypt and now a club in Norway, why is Bob Bradley with Preki better than Ranieri?

i just hope it doesnt spell the end for shakey and walsh but realistcally by now they could have decided that / or agreed with the club to leave by mutual consent ( 1 or both) once the new guy is in place. lots of twists and turns yet

Sorry but even if he doesn't get the managers job what the **** has he ever done to warrant a coaching or technical role at a Premier League club?

He might have something to offer from a scouting point of view but the statement from Sacramento was pretty grandiose if that's all he's going to be doing.

Reminds me of when pompey appointed that completely unknown Croatian guy as DOF back when Redknapp was there. The guy was a total disaster.

It's a tenuous link but it is being run with.

Lots of negative nancy posters criticising the owners for something that hasn't happened and in all likelihood won't happen.

Some great chants being posted. The cult of preki is gathering steam.

Thanks. I think that if he comes as a coach to BB then we could do worse given the limited options available at the moment. As manager though...Lord no!

Bob Bradley and/or Preki would be an embarrassment of absolutely monumental proportions. Two people who have no busiess whatsoever being associated with our football club.

Literally anyone on the betting list would be a better appointment - Lambert, McLeish, Di Matteo - if this were to happen it would undo all the good the owners have done for the football club.

Don't know if anyone posted this yet, but...

The Norway league has a short summer break between the 12th and 26th.

A respectable time for Bob Bradley to leave Stabæk and join us? In time to join for the start of Austria training too, right?

I see your point.

But you don't know that.

Can someone please explain what has been said that makes this possible.

And how the fvck has it got 51 pages in a matter of hours?

This is a joke right?

it sounds like fifa are advising them who to bring in as our next manager ,,, i know nothing of him at all .. just what i have read and to me its just a backward step . i thought they were going for a big name ? and i dont mean by how many letters are in that name

I've just read on Charlie Austin's twitter page that he's congratulated his godfather in his "new appointment".

I didn't know he was his god son and maybe explains why we bid for Austin last week?

There is no way in hell that the owners are hiring this guy as our Manager.

What he says does make me think he is joining us but it HAS to be as an assistant or coach with someone else coming in, perhaps Bradley.

The weird thing is him announcing it before the Manager he might be working for here. Perhaps that will follow tomorrow and we will hear of someone in final discussions to join as manager with Preki as his assistant.

I don't know but I refuse to believe our owners, the same ones who hired Sven are now hiring some nobody to be our manager in the Premiership!

Not going to happen!!

There are some occasions where a bit of insanity turns out to be genius.

This won't be one of those times.

Like when though?

Exactly, if Bob Bradley had been linked yesterday there wouldn't have been

many takers on here. Now it's like he's the messiah. He is currently managing

in the Norwegian league.
