Stevosevic Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 What do we think? Stay or go? There is a link at least...
Wilson_6 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Stay. the club needs to have certain staff to stay on for consistency.
Fox92 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Need to stay. Renieri won't have a clue about our players and all that and neither will anybody he brings in.
Mark_w Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I'd like them to stay. Think we've got a better chance of keeping Walsh than Shakespeare and I imagine that's more important. But wouldn't be at all surprised if they're off when Nigel gets a new job.
LCCFox96 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Walsh has worked with Ranieri before. He might be able to convince him to stay. A four year tenure shows Ranieri clearly rates him in that position and Walsh also has some loyalty to the club after returning for a second time. I think Walsh will stay, here's to hoping anyway! Shakespeare will more than likely go out of loyalty to Pearson. But then equally, he's never been in this positional a PL club before and might want to stay. Both are interesting developments to watch unfold. Also got to factor in whether Ranieri wants to keep them too.
Webbo Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I hope they stay, at least in the short term. It all depends on ranieri though.
Frost Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Can't see Shakey staying. Ranieri will want his own assistant surely? Not sure how well CR and Walsh know each other either, but I hope he stays.
STUHILL Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Stay but be interesting to know if Claudio has a set team he takes with him to all his jobs. That could be the over riding factor. I think after we finished the season so strong, the players would appreciate some familar faces rather than a whole shake up you only usually get after a winless run and ultimate sacking
Stevosevic Posted 13 July 2015 Author Posted 13 July 2015 I think Ranieri has generally had a different team in each job.
Frank to be Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 No room for sentiment really, if ranieri works better with his own staff then that's what's important.
bald reynard Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Perhaps that rumour about Chris Powell coming back as Head Coach might be right after all. I'm sure the owners might be able to afford to stump up the money for compo to Huddersfield. Ranieri will need someone who knows the club and I bet Shaky and Walsh will be off if/when Nige gets a new job.
benpicko Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I hope they stay and think they will do for a while unless Pearson's next job is in the Premiership
STUHILL Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I think this guy could be coming with Claudio. Actually sounds good though with all his experience in English Football https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Damiano
MPH Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I hope there is no clash in Walshy's and shakespear's minds when they are thinking " should i stay or should i go?"
fox_favourite Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 This is the interesting bit and one that will develop over the next couple of weeks. Personally, I would love them to stay, but would understand (but gutted) if they left as loyalty is rare in this world.
GingerrrFox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Steve Walsh was at Chelsea for a short while with Ranieri so he could potentially stay, still think Shakey will move on but more than happy to be proven wrong.
lgfualol Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I think they will stick around, Claudio will need help and they've both worked with the squad for ages.
RedSoxUK Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Think Walsh will stay, possibly settled now - knows Ranieri and is hitting targets with Rudkin forcing them through, can imagine him being happy with Ranieri signing. Shakespeare will probably be replaced by Damiano. - Walsh was the guy we needed to keep hold of either way.
Alf Bentley Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I hope there is no clash in Walshy's and shakespear's minds when they are thinking " should i stay or should i go?" They'll feel that Ranieri has The Right Profile and will create a Safe European Home at LCFC, even if he wants Complete Control, it won't be Hateful. Cambiasso will think I'm So Bored With The USA and I don't even care if Mourinho says it's London Calling, I'm going to Stay Free and drive back to Leicester in a Brand New Cadillac, especially now that Dean Hammond has re-signed as our Magnificent Seven. This is England, after all. They'll know that Claudio dropped a few Spanish Bombs at Valencia. Some might think that Gullit would've been a better appointment - that Rudie Can't Fail - but it's Death or Glory now.
Lesteban Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Steve Walsh was at Chelsea for a short while with Ranieri so he could potentially stay, still think Shakey will move on but more than happy to be proven wrong. He worked with Ranieri for all of the 4 years he spent at Chelsea.
