les-tah Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 has anyone with a foxes player account seen the full interview that could give some feedback?? Here is a snippet, quite refreshing how he doesn't want to change to much!! https://amp.twimg.com/v/ed773434-fd6b-419f-b4bf-82a97b8dc632
sdb Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 yep, pleased to hear that and that he's seen how we played towards the end of last season. Fingers crossed!
lgfualol Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Awesome, I like that he doesn't want to change too much. Tell me more stories Claudio *gets comfy*
copunk Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Was just gonna say the same thing, seems like formation wise he seems happy with the way we are already set up, really think he's gonna do well for us
Stevosevic Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Encouraging snippet, likes the 3 at the back doesn't want to change too much. Anyone else who has seen the full interview? Be grateful for a summary for those of us without foxes player
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 "The Italian tactical way" Haha. That got me too. I dread to think what that means
lgfualol Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 "The Italian tactical way" I feel like he said that because he didn't know how to say the thing he wanted to say
foxfanazer Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Thought his English was worse than that. Happy with what he's said there
AKCJ Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Comes across well in that snippet. Gad that he's noticed the 3 at the back formation suits the players.
benpicko Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 So it sounds as though we'll again be playing with 3 at the back then, sounds good. Anybody got the full interview?
les-tah Posted 15 July 2015 Author Posted 15 July 2015 I sense a lot of relief from us!!! Can someone do us an amateur rip on there iPhone please
psychonaut Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 There is something about Ranieri - he is extremely likeable i feel i could agree with anything he says
Brooksy Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 I feel like he said that because he didn't know how to say the thing he wanted to say Yeah I thought that.
placidcasual Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 There is something about Ranieri - he is extremely likeable i feel i could agree with anything he says Kindly Grandfather figure.
st albans fox Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 There is something about Ranieri - he is extremely likeable i feel i could agree with anything he says So, it seems, did the owners, Rudkin and Nevile! He hasn't had time to judge much. He doesn't have much time to change much. He could start with a back 4 but he's probably judged that if he does that and it doesn't go well, he will be slaughtered. Better to start as we finished and then make tweaks thereafter.
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 I've watched the full version. I liked a lot of what he said. When asked about what he has seen of us, he said how vital Huth and Cambiasso were in our run in, I imagine he will be just as keen as all of us for Esteban to re-sign. I particularly liked the bit about him not wanting to change too much. The fact that he is not known for playing 3 at the back, but appears willing to do it here shows that he is willing to listen and learn more about the team, rather than coming in with the 'it's my way or no way approach'. I'm excited and optimistic about the way this man can take us forward, bring it on!
jimmeh Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 I get the impression that when he said about his Italian tactical way he meant sort our dreadful defence out
promised land Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Playing like the Italians then, glad he's now fluent in English, it was my one concern. I see some are still wearing last seasons training tops, the shop not got enough of the new gear in then? Can't wait for the season yo get going now. Eta, is he a suit or tracky manager, for Monaco he was a track suit but what in the league?
les-tah Posted 15 July 2015 Author Posted 15 July 2015 I get the impression that when he said about his Italian tactical way he meant sort our dreadful defence out We can only hope!
benpicko Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 I get the impression that when he said about his Italian tactical way he meant sort our dreadful defence out Pretty sure only like 3 teams other than us didn't lose by more than 2 goals, and they were Chelsea, Arsenal, and Man City, so we must be doing something right. There were certainly matches where we let in horrible goals, but it's not as though we were consistently incredibly leaky, more like just prone to the odd stupid mistake, which again was practically eliminated when Huth slotted into the back 3.
Stevosevic Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 By Italian tactical way he means clever cynical fouls that you see in Serie A, we need some of that - frustrate the hell out of opponents
Babylon Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Annnnd breath... Saying and doing are two different things, but it's nice to hear him say it.
