I do find it funny that although everybody says we don't need another player, enough people always slip in 'Swap him for Nugent', whether capable of playing the same role or not. Imagine Lambert doing what Nugent does

Imagine Lambert doing what Nugent does Don't get me wrong, Nugent is great for us. He's the best at the club in the link role. The issue is, he's nowhere near consistent enough at this level. Borini has proven that he is, at more than one club.

It's just his agent trying to tout for business. Just like the Lambert thread, people seem to take paper talk as gospel. Someone said he's a young hungry player, he didn't want to move to Sunderland last season even though he would play every week, to stay at Liverpool where they said he would get limited game time. We don't need him anyway. He might potentially be good after a run of games but we have much better.

He's a natural and a very good all round player. Admittedly he's getting on a bit now but the others are still largely unproven at this level. If they don't step up we'll need Nugent to fall back on.

Nugent definitely is not our best striker these comments get better by the day. If Borini shows the desire to play which I've seen a few times from him before then I would certainly take him rather than Nuge. Would fit in our system perfectly too.
