For me, based on this - Inler will need to play between defence and midfield

.

He has potential, for the squad, to set up additional attacks - different from Mahrez and Albrighton.

I'd like him to play BEHIND both King and Kante; as Kante sounds similar to Inler whilst King is more attack-minded imo.

The danger of Inler playing too deep, is that he's probably going to be a danger with his aggressive-style in front of the defence and give 'just outside-the-box' opportunities.

He's a normal midfielder what are you rattling on about?

I don't believe this is what will happen; the match reports and general reports on Inler have him as a composed player, very comfortable and calm on the ball - reduced speed and getting back over the last few years, deteriorating - but not at such a fast rate but definitely on the decline. His qualities are passing, influence, general ability, vision (not quite those amazing Cambiasso passes, but near,) shooting, and positioning. The reason he's been labelled a hard player or one whom gives away fouls, is because he doesn't like to track back and intercept in the way Kante would, or Hammond as such - the easy foul is the easy way out. He's by no means a DM, so if he's taking any position from a current starting 11 it would be King and not Drinkwater.

Isn't he a defender ?

Suggests he can play both roles. Personally would like a creative midfielder, but not sure who is available, or a winger.

He is a complete box to box midfielder - there is no need for him to play deep. Kante is a ball winner a tackler that will hopefully mop up and break up play and sit a little deeper. Inler will provide a strong link from defense to attack  - they are not similar players - although Kante sounds like he wants to progress into more of a box to box type midfielder. It would either be King or Inler not Inler or Kante.

Although another attack minded right winger/Central attacking midfielder wouldnt go amiss.

At least in previous roles for their clubs, Kante has played the "Makelele" and Inler has been a box-to-box midfielder.

Inler doesn't score many but has an eye for attacking passes. Can't wait for him to work out some magic with Vardy (if we do get him).

Similar to Gerrard but without the goals (I'm not saying in ability)

Box to box and work rate

Vision for a long attacking pass

Lethal shot from long range

You could always push King further up front, behind the strikers. He'd do well there.
