Merging Cultures Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 He looks like he's wearing a Napoli shirt Surely the players can't see each other to make a pass.
lestajigs Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Surely the players can't see each other to make a pass. Yes, but at the same time the opposition can't see them, so proper stealth mode
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 more importantly, what is his mrs like?
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 But if he was the heartbeat of the side tearing it up in the Champions League we wouldn't have a chance of signing him. I think we need to be realistic and remember just where we are as a club at the moment. He would be fantastic signing for us but if he was at the top of the tree then there would be perhaps 50 clubs in Europe that he would choose before us. Keep things in perspective. Exactly, ingore the money flying around and don't kid yourself that the lower teams in the PL can compete with the elite clubs in Italy. They have much higher standards of player quality than us, especially defensively. He's going to be mint for us and exactly the signing we need, super excited about this.
Nod.E Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Signed him for us on FM12. He steadied the ship, allowing Pastore the creative license to weave his magic which led to 2 consecutive Champions League finals, which were both lost to Bayern on pens.On that basis I would be happy signing him on the condition that Mahrez stays on pens.
adam95581 Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 This was a slow starter (and I had no idea it would turn out like this) but it's really looking likely...I think we're going to break the 100 page barrier!
johnny the fox Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 I know fans can be pessimistic and pretty stupid all across the world, but I've genuinely not seen a positive post from a Napoli fan anywhere across the Internet, their English forum, Italian forum, Reddit, or elsewhere. Ranges from he's been disappointing to 'he's ****ing shocking' 'a tortoise would be better' 'he's lazy, doesn't track runners, loses the ball a lot'. Hopefully we get Udinese Inler then. Move out the way I wanted to get on his back first.. I shall judge if he is any good or not by how he holds the shirt up at the press conference.

Oh, he definitely hasn't had the best of seasons in 14/15, but that's like saying Albrighton was responsible for our slump last season, when the reasons lay elsewhere. I'd point the finger at a few other players who performed rather miserably for Napoli last season and remained below expectations for most part of the campaign - the defenders or the Brazilian goalkeeper, for instance. Higuain had a couple of real stinkers, too. Remember the penalty miss against immediate rivals Lazio? That and other misses cost the club direct qualification to the Champions League.
Leicesterfarian Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Let's be honest with ourselves. If inler hadn't dropped off slightly do you think we'd have a chance of signing him? No chance at all! We're not as good as Napoli and so their standards will be much higher than ours. If they're fillet steak then we're rump. Both enjoyable but one has a better quality.

Inler is still a cut of fillet steak, he's just approaching his best before date so he's reduced for quick sale. I love a good bargain, me.

If we sign Gokhan "The Fillet" Inler, all we're lacking is an extra body on the flank. Would wan't to Brisket with just Mahrez and Albrigthon as quality wide options.

It's Rare to find a player that wants to come to us at the moment, if our scouts can find anyone, it's a job Well Done...
goose2010 Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 It's Rare to find a player that wants to come to us at the moment, if our scouts can find anyone, it's a job Well Done... seriously our scouting network is incredible ever thought that there is no one good enough in our price range that is available worth having? Ever thought that they aren't looking currently because we have an improved squad compared to last season where we finished 14th in Europe's top division?
filbertstreet Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 It's Rare to find a player that wants to come to us at the moment, if our scouts can find anyone, it's a job Well Done... I heard his chipping was 88 rated
Lesta2014 Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Ranieri says he wants 2 midfielders in mercury but be happy with one, so inler and one other?

Wymsey Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 If he signs, I'm unsure whether King or Kante should partner him - King is proven at this level, but Kante has much more experience in top-flight football.

Babylon Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 If he signs, I'm unsure whether King or Kante should partner him - King is proven at this level, but Kante has much more experience in top-flight football. Drinkwater and King will continue until a) one of them performs badly or b) one of the others comes on and performs better than they did. Once we've seen them all in action enough I'm sure the picture will become clearer.
AKCJ Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 If he signs, I'm unsure whether King or Kante should partner him - King is proven at this level, but Kante has much more experience in top-flight football. Kante has made 39 top flight appearances, King has made 25. I wouldn't say that there is a massive difference.
Babylon Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 I think he will go with 3 CM's away from home and 2 at home to be honest. Problem is will that not mean Mahrez losing his place?
