Mickyblueeyes Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 Thought I would share this - if it relates to another topic please merge. I went along to dire networking event yesterday. Dire until I met someone originally from Croatia and more specifically a Rijeka fan. Once he found out I was a Leicester fan the stats surrounding Kramaric came out. He couldn't believe that we had secured him in January. Anyway, Rijeka fans now apparently follow our results religiously and he was full of praise for Kramaric. Told me to watch him fly this year. Many in Croatia liken him to Davor Suker. Most consider him to be best thing to be produced by Croatia since there golden team. Said we don't know how good a player we have acquired. Be interesting to watch him this year. Get the feeling he good be our hidden gem this year. A proper 20 goal a season striker.
Matt Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 Want him to feature heavily this year, I know he was settling in last year and it wasn't ideal to chuck him in at the deep end during a very intense (But successful) relegation battle but will be disappointed if he doesn't feature heavily and impress this year, no excuses given they hype surrounding him.

He and the club openly came out last Season and said he isn't ready for the Premier league yet but you seen what he could offer from time to time... The lad can ruin players with his dribbling and technical ability. Like you said I expect him to have a high scoring Season.. 15+ for me.
CosbehFox Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 Bulked in muscle and clearly now feels more comfortable with his team mates. Should have scored twice yesterday but I fancy him to contribute next season.
Poznan34 Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 I think once he gets a couple of goals in quick succession he'll do well. It's just getting that first goal that could be the problem if he doesn't start many.
Larry_LCFC Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 You do what you've got to do. But please dont video it. Spoilsport.
Mickyblueeyes Posted 2 August 2015 Author Posted 2 August 2015 I don't know the standard of the Croatian national team youth levels play at but apparently throughout his youth career he scored a total of 450 goals!! I haven't checked this up but it's common knowledge in Croatia as his dad is also his number one fan who has kept a record of his goals from entire career.
Stevosevic Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 I hope he starts next Saturday, the talent is there and he needs to start games to develop.
RedSoxUK Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 I don't think Kram will start enough games to get over 10 goals, and I don't think he'll make 10 unless he gets a good hat-trick against Watford or something. Kram will play deeper in the hole / rotation with Mahrez in the current formation IMO, Shinji Okazaki is more likely to start, and more likely to get 10. Good luck to him though.

This is my view which is why i've stated earlier I want him to feature heavily and impress otherwise i'll be disappointed. Our most expensive signing and he hardly plays I given my understanding why he didn't feature much last season but this is a fresh this is a time to shine.
ScouseFox Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 id be delighted if he hit double figures or was our team's top scorer, let alone scored enough goals to be competing for the actual golden boot
gerrytaggart Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 He won't score 20 goals. Interesting to hear that, What else won't he do??
TOMBlcfc Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 Going only by yesterday's performance (I know not a lot) he still doesn't look quite there. When he was playing with Vardy he played far too deep, which is fine to link up play but even if the ball was wide he never got in the box, on a few occasions king went racing in to provide an option with Kram left back in midfield. However, he did manage to get a few opportunities which contradicts my point. I really hope he does well this season but I'd still not start him ahead of Vardy, Okazaki and Ulloa. But as I say, I'm willing him to step up for the coming season

UpTheLeagueFox Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 Ulloa is our most expensive signing. Correct.
Matt Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 id be delighted if he hit double figures or was our team's top scorer, let alone scored enough goals to be competing for the actual golden boot Someone made me laugh the other day, he takes an interest in Leicester but often enough just likes to wind Leicester fans up/be critical (I know I can be critical but that's because I want the best, he just does it for a wind up). Anyway, the other day when we were linked with Ricky Lambert, I was saying he won't come to Leicester and the fact we'd got 6 strikers anyway, we didn't need another he's response was 'Yeah but none of the are 20 goal a season players' I just ignored the comment, in the 'mini-league' of the Premier League, let's be honest a team that we are who will be fighting against relegation - who of those teams have got a 20 goal a season striker? Teams like Leicester don't have those type of players. Idiot. Ok Charlie Austin go 18 last year but it's still not 20, and that doesn't happen often with a team down the bottom of the league and even more so even with the 18 look where him and his team still ended up. Ulloa is our most expensive signing. Ok, one of, or potentially (I'm talking add ons).
Littletoe Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 I think he will be on fire this season. You could see the signs when we brought him, he just needed to bulk up. He seems a bigger lad now and i hope he shines as much as i expect him too.
SecretPro Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 This is probably the thing im most excited for this season, not new signings etc, but watching who I think could turn out to be a world beater, i already love him but I have a feeling by the end of this season he might become everyone's new cambiasso. Can't ****ing wait to watch him play week in week out.
psychonaut Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 He needs to regularly start games - he needs a manager to show confidence in him. As long as he gets a fair crack at the whip then its down to him as obvious as it seems. I have a feeling he'll be one of Ranieri's favourites anyway.
FireFox Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 Ok, one of, or potentially (I'm talking add ons). With add ons, Ulloa cost apparently 9-10 million.

Stevosevic Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 Not many players get 20 goals and we don't need strikers to get 20 goals to be good enough for us. A dozen is a good target for whoever our main man is.
Gerard Posted 2 August 2015 Posted 2 August 2015 I think to be top drawer at PL level you need to be very quick or big, strong and powerful. Kramaric is neither. He's the best footballer of the strikers for sure and if he had Ulloa's size and strength or Vardy's pace he would be immense but he hasn't. Unfortunately he'll be no more than decent at PL level IMO. I hope I'm wrong though.
