Finnaldo Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Seeing that one is North African, the other one an Israeli, that's quite the bulletproof approach. I was under the impression that you would pronounce with a 'y' as well, no idea why though.
Wymsey Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Don't know why but can imagine either one of Simpson, De Laet or Wasilewski to leave (either on loan or permanently) as a result of this.

Tielemans63 Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 One of my uni mates' Dad is Tunisian and their surname is Slimane, pronounced Slim-ar-nay. On that basis I reckon it's pronounced Ben-a-loo-ar-nay.
Fox in the North Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Just need to get Aranguiz and I will be very satisfied with this transfer window (fingers crossed!!)

Fez of Mahrez Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 This stuff about him being nothing special. We don't need special. Just someone to slot in alongside Huth and head it and kick it like Wes and Was did at the end of last season. He looks ideal to me from the clips I've seen.

Sort of get what you mean, seems a more 'casual' than Huth if you get my drift, not as headstrong or a good a tackler as Huth, but still decent in those areas and more likely to play it from the back, a bit of calmness at the back I reckon.
dannythefox Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 This has got a red card on Saturday written all over it.

Weller in Tights Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Sounds a decent enough bloke from this interview. Leicester City New Boy Admits He Had Offers From Roma And Inter Benalouane - AtalantaFormer Atalanta defender and new Leicester City signing Yohan Benalouane has said that he rejected offers from both Inter and Roma and that he is happy to now be playing in the Premier League. The Tunisian was a part of a defence that helped La Dea survive relegation last season with the Nerazzurri finishing 17th in Serie A. “I am very pleased to discover another country,” a delighted Benalouane told Tuttomercatoweb. “I am happy to have the opportunity to learn another language and I will experience new things and be very positive.” The 28 year-old was also asked about clubs he could have previously joined saying he rejected an offer from Fulham two years ago. “It’s true, I could already have been in London, but the deal came from Claudio Ranieri, he wanted to do it. “The negotiation then went on between the clubs and I am here today. “Inter? Yes, I had an offer. Also from Roma. I did not put any pressure on the club [Atalanta] as it happened in January and we were trying to avoid relegation. “For me it was more important to help the team survive and then evaluate my options for the future. I did not want to end my relationship with Atalanta on a sour note.” Finally Benalouane was quizzed about what challenges he may face in the Premier League. “Here they mark man to man. I’ll have to deal with very strong strikers and to deal with them it is important they know you’re strong physically. “The pace is very high. I will have to acclimatise quickly and adapt myself to this new league and way of playing. “I’m a little behind with my fitness but if I play I will have no problems. I had started my pre-season with the Nerazzurri later, but I will try to give my all.”

Gerard Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 I'm not happy with this signing at all. Atalanta paid €1m for him last year and we buy him for €8m. On the phone in on Radio Leicester the expert who was on said he's not really an upgrade on what we have. Also if I read Italian football fans comments every single one has said he was one of the worst defenders in Serie A and we've been ripped. I'm sure I'll see for myself in the coming weeks but I'm not enthusiastic about this signing at all. This appears to be a scouting team signing so I hope they've got this one right.

Hmmm interesting, I thought the fee was high, not heard anything bad about him.
Kitchandro Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 I too am pretty cautious about this one based on what I've heard. I will ask my family in Italy what they think.
Dr The Singh Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 I have family in Italy also, they are there illegally but I'm sure there itk then most on here

How do we know that we paid €8m or €7m ?? The media just love to slap on price tags. Probably nothing even approaching that amount.
