Think Van Bommel on Alonso in the World Cup final. Only Vardy was on Adrian's blind side so there was no intent. Dangerous and I'm guessing very painful.

De Jong. Not van Bommel.

Shinji puts his head everywhere! Fearless fast and fecking fantastic. He's worth the money for all you doubters.

36 points to beat last year total us maybe what CR meant!

Kasper is too rash... needs to cut that out... got away with it for two games now, just because we can score goals

This. Ranieri mentioned on OS focusing on concentration. If Kasper can just stop that part of his game he will be a great keeper. That's his only real weakness but he has a double dose of it.

Maybe been mentioned already and not a criticism of NP. But the fact that CR addressed that the left side (our right) was struggling, particularly RDL, demonstrates to me he knows the score. NP whilst great in so many other aspects didn't always address such issues as quickly...

I actually thought Ranieri was slow to sort that out and I don't think that's fair on Pearson as he's substituted de Laet a few times in the past.

just seen the goals. second was great. if shinji's first effort had gone in it would've been sensational. so pleased he bagged he is a great guy.

Mahrez' goal reminded me of Suarez' against PSG last year. 80% of the goal to aim at and could have just stroked it in but thought "nah fvck it" and smashed it into the top corner.

There was a comment on Bein Sports about will we be able to hold on to the back room staff once Pearson gets a job again. From what I've seen they all look settled and happy with CR, I'd be surprised to see a mass exodus.

Won't happen, everything is good they are paid well and we are Premier League

Scouse will be pleased that Kingy had a decent game.

I loved NP, but two of my lads weren't keen because he could be slow to substitute when we needed a change. CR does seem to be more decisive.

Was having the conversation last night in the boozer regarding whether clubs will actually be queueing up to take a punt on Pearson after last season.

You know you'll be getting a good man manager, you also know you'll be getting arrogance and bizarre behaviour.

I'm sure they will. Come Christmas, Nige will nice again be in a job I'm pretty sure.

But I've warmed to Ranieri already. Even if he gets it all wrong, I like him. He's funny, he's quite humble in his own way, and he just likes talking to the media.

Like many, I wasn't sure about him, especially given the Greece nonsense. But I like his manner. He's won me over very quickly. In spite of Pearson's success, i never warmed to him, as a bloke kinda thing.

Another brilliant result! Great to be a City fan at the moment.

All of a sudden we look like proper Premiership side - pace & guile in attack and secure (ish) in defence!

On holiday with kids. Wifi rubbish. Lost it all at 2-1 just after they scored. Only just picked up result. Blooming marvellous. Can't wait to read all about it Sunday evening.

Substitutions spot on again today by CR..

Dare I say it but how many times last season did NP make all the wrong substitution decisions!!?

That was a big weakness of NP's, all along.

And that's why Claudio was known as The Tinker Man - all those years ago - proactive in terms of tactics and subs.

Not wanting to count any chickens, but I both like him as a bloke and so far as our manager.

very glad to hear. as i said allll along midfield isn't an issue when you've got kingy. he just adapts and becomes good enough whether it's league one against walsall, premier league against chelsea or playing for wales in the euros next year. he's just greeeeeat.

Shhhhh! Can you hear that?

It's the sound of all the pundits choking on huge slices of humble pie. :D

Yes!

Either unbelievably naive, or illinformed of those twats to think Cambi / Pearson were the be all and end all of this team.

We now have I believe a better manager and potentially a better midfield.

(Said with thanks and respect to aforementioned pair).
