Bournemouth away Match Thread

Merse making a good point that Okazaki would have been good for this game for his pressuring as Bournemouth like playing out from the back. It would be a thankless task for Vardy if he is expected to close down on his own today.

Will be interesting to see where Kante goes today, the man looks like he can get everywhere - someone needs to support Vardy upfront; if that's not King it will probably be Kante IMO

This thread just highlights how desperate some 'fans' are for ranieri to fail. It's a perfectly reasonable formation designed to soak up Bournemouth's attacking play and hit them with pace on the break. The negativity is ridiculous.

If we were lining up with Pearson's 541 or Pearson's diamond then I could understand the complaints, but this is a perfectly good away strategy.

As for Kramaric, he hasn't done a lot in a Leicester shirt to be honest. Hope he has a good future hear of course but I'd rather we play our best players, so if Kramaric isn't one of them then I've no problem with him not playing. It'll just turn out to be a poor Pearson signing.

I've never properly looked at Bournemouth's club badge before

IMHO we should beat them purely on the basis that their club badge looks like it belongs on Aldi shower gel.

I think Kante may play in front of DeLeat giving him a bit more protection than Mahrez does.

It's also a formation that many were screaming for last season, especially away from home.

Seriously, give it a rest.  Not read anybody having a dig at Raneiri in this thread, just people who may feel like this could be a difficult match for us.

Hope Kramaric has a knock and not had a fall out, said Kante would play though. Good enough starting 11 to win the game and the options from the bench are top notch....

Up the City.....

He probably hasn't been picked because he is behind the other strikers at present, doesn't mean he is moving on at all.  I am sure he will get his chance but seeing we are playing one up front and have 2 on the bench, neither Okazaki or Ulloa have done anything to be displaced by Krameric, that is the answer.

Let's not jump to conclusions please.

Not a big fan of a lone striker. Think Okazaki has played well recently. Been sticking his head and body into the line of everything. Don't know what Krammy has to do to get a chance tbh.

The Soccer Saturday panel are complete idiots.  Didn't Tommo just say that Mahrez was instrumental in the 5-3 V Man U?  Mahrez didn't even play! lol

I'm going to give Ranieri the benefit of the doubt here, partly because I think Kanté warrants a start, partly because DD and King looked like they needed help against Spurs, and partly because Eddie Howe more than likely wasn't planning on facing this midfield and now has a lot of thinking to do on short notice.

Kanté has the engine and the wheels to get forward, but we'll really know if our midfield is firing on all cylinders of King drives forward. We have three "pilots" for our car now. :P

But our steering wheel is sitting on a hospital bed somewhere in Leverkusen. :(

Chill the fvck out people, it is not a negative formation, it is only negative if we play negatively. Krama will get his chance, just not in this game, Ranieri will have watched how Bournemouth play and come up with a plan to deal with it. Judge it on the match not on paper.

Krama is not going anywhere unless we bring in a new striker.

Agree with this, as long as Ranieri doesn't play it unnecessarily negatively. Team has strong midfield and loads of flexibility to vary between defensive and attacking mode (lots of attacking options with our FBs), and even the ability to change formation; and that's even without considering the bench. Correct decision to start Kante but not Inler. Only disappointment for me is Kram not getting an opportunity, but you can see why Dodoo got the nod over him.

Worried about bigging up the team - suppose we'll get stuffed now!

Also have a bad feeling about this one. Bournemouth's confidence will be sky-high after their results over the past week and will look to drive forward in this one in front of their own supporters.

I still feel like our defence isn't quite set yet and inviting a team that will feel like they have a semi-free-hit today on to us will be a mistake I fear.

Would love to be proven wrong but I'm going 1-0 Bournemouth.

After the monster run we've been on, we are due a loss at some time just to stir the pot a little

I think Bournemouth fans will be as nervous as yourself, they had a fantastic win last week but we've had 3 excellent results and I cannot see us not scoring, and I carnt see us conceding more than one, though we haven't kept a clean sheet,I think the defence is as solid as it's been since the o'neil era,I'm going for 2-1 city meself.

Sky are full of shit these days, they either rim the asshole off the top 4 to the point their coverage is boring or they are up the ass of the unlikely underdog.

The other 14-15 teams in the leagues coverage in perspective is cringeworthy little.

Looking forward to seeing Kante start.

It's an interesting change but if we win then everyone will be calling Claudio a tactical genius!

Lets wait and see first!

I'm not being funny, but man for man we are better than Bournemouth in every department.

Setting up as 4-5-1 with Vardy on his own (presumably leaving him with less opportunity to actually use his pace down the channels) is negative.

Its nothing to do with your anti-Pearson/pro-Ranieri agenda.

I think Albrighton and Mahrez will have more freedom but neither are going to have anybody to aim their crosses at. Let's hope Kante or King are dynamic enough to fill that link between midfield and Vardy.
