Dan Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 Anyone Doncaster signed in the 2011/12 season. What a disaster that was.
fuchsntf Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 The strangest NON transfer...Charlie Austin. I reckon some top clubs over complicated their targets so much, they couldnt see the bargain to be had. At 15-17 mil Austin would of given 2 solid years, of 10 goals +, at least. I mentioned in other posts, but Man.utd, Arsenal could of taken him to kick start the scoring in their season, even if he was to be benched later in the season. He was there up for grabs, and no takers..for me strange...
Jimothy Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 Likewise Van Der Sar around the same time. Okocha at Bolton? Mancini here? VDS was long gone from Fulham by the time Berbatov arrived. I agree still an odd signing though.
ScouseFox Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 when we signed basically the most decorated player ever. we're leicester city.
whoareyaaa Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 De bruyne for 54m or what ever it was in the end is as crazy as it can get.
MC Prussian Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 Well, Manchester United signing a 19-year old French winger for £36m is somewhat odd. Nothing beats trying to live up to expectations - I can sense this being quite a burden on such young shoulders.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 when we signed basically the most decorated player ever. we're leicester city. What are you on about? We've never signed Akinfenwa?
Buzzell Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 Faubert to Real Madrid as well Thomas Gravesen to Real Madrid was a strange one.
KFS Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 Why was it weird? Wolfsburg sell De Bruyne, buy Draxler as a replacement for what's likely to be a huge sum. Only surprise is that Schalke would sell to a rival really. To a rival, not a huge fee, 5 year contract... Had his next move down as being abroad is all
Vicki Vixen Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 Jelle Vossen - signed by Burnley in July, plays 4 games, then sold to Club Brugge in August. Similar to the Joey Beauchamp West Ham saga, where he was also sold on less than 2 months after signing.
Nalis Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 What are you on about? We've never signed Akinfenwa? Think he lives near me in London, seen him getting off at my stop in his AFC Wimbledon gear with some other AFC Wimbledon player, he's ****ing huge in real life.

Donut Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 Fuertes at Derby. Only played for about a month and he was off. I know this is off topic somewhat, but will Lucas Piazon actually play for Chelsea. As in, ever?
Soar Fox Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 I know this is off topic somewhat, but will Lucas Piazon actually play for Chelsea. As in, ever? He's signed for Reading on loan. Interested to see how well he does in the championship.
Rincewind Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 The limit for a squad is 25.(?) Chelsea have 33 players out on loan valued at nearly £100 million. How is this right? Do the big money teams just buy players to stop rivals having them? Football has gone mad.

shen Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 To a rival, not a huge fee, 5 year contract... Had his next move down as being abroad is all "Midfielder joins for estimated £25.5m, second-highest fee inside Bundesliga" and club record deal. Would you not call this a huge fee? About double than what Juve offered. But like you, I'm surprised Schalke would sell to a rival.
AjcW Posted 3 September 2015 Author Posted 3 September 2015 Anyone mentioned Victor Valdes? Up there with the best but hated by LVG and out of Man United Champions League squad for Sam Johnstone
StanSP Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 Anyone mentioned Victor Valdes? Up there with the best but hated by LVG and out of Man United Champions League squad for Sam Johnstone That transfer itself wasn't bad because contract was out at Barcelona. I'd say it's the way he's been treated which is rather unusual.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 3 September 2015 Posted 3 September 2015 As if Firmino went for more than Draxler I'm guessing you've not seen Draxler recently.
