Inler

'Inler, 35 yards out, shoots...wide' cue jeers from opposition supporters.

Fortunately we won't hear that again for a while as he'll hopefully never play for us again.

I love how just because he isn't fast he isn't good enough lol

Pace is obviously a good asset to have especially with our style of play but whatever happened to a player reading a game?

This is a guy who's played champions league, UEFA cups, major world tournaments captianing his country but few appearances and not being very fast and we should be selling him asap lol

Cambiasso wasn't very fast but look at how we loved him! Inler is probably faster than him!?

Not sure how much of a pre-season he got at Napoli as Italian league is few weeks behind but I'm sure once he is settle, got some game time and sussed the English game we will all be singing his praises.

Cambiasso wasn't fast in the legs but his brain was running years ahead of everyone else. Inler seems ponderous on the ball, not just in his movement.

Are we allowed to say exactly the same as the Napoli fans said originally now?

think we have to stay quiet until he has one game when he isn't dog shit so that the holier than thou can say "told you so"

I'll give it 6 months until we get the 'contract has been terminated by mutual consent' announcement.

Would love to see his pass completion statistics.

Useless donkey, got to be behind Kante, Drinkwater, King, and James(when fit) in the pecking order.

84%,

Don't listen to everything you read on here.

Not great, Not half as bad as most on here will lead you to believe.

I think he's still in Serie A mode. Still think he could be a handy player, but does not deserve to start at present, I wanted us to keep playing him at first to try and find that form but he's not found it and will just end up costing us points at the moment.

This thread is basically people who had seen Inler last season trying to convince people who haven't that he is not the player he was. I think the more he plays people are realizing he is our 4th best CM.. probably 5th best when Matty James is back and gets match fit. ****.. even Dean Hammond performed better than Inler last season.

He was awful - that's the long and short of it. Pass completion stats doesn't show how many times he was tackled, but my problem with him again is that he's just ridiculously off the pace - and this against a Hull side that's made several changes.

I'm not sure what the solution is as he obviously deserves a little bit of slack - the PL is a fast and unforgiving league - but he won't get in ahead of Kanté and Drinkwater and I'd prefer to bring on King too ahead of him.

Just takes 1 too many touches on the ball at the min but how can you criticize a guy who has barely had any game time?

He wasn't the only one off the pace tonight. Few too many changes from the Tinkerman

How many of those was forward? How many of those were key passes? How many chances created?

Pass completion rate is a pretty useless stat without context.

Yeah, I agree, can't argue with that.

in his 119 mins prior to today,

57 forward passes

27 backward

Key passes 1

Chances created 1

Not bad in context, I think this will be updated tomorrow with todays stats on.

Again, he's not amazing, definitely 4th choice on this form, but he's not as awful as our fans make out, he's just off the pace.

He was absolutely terrible tonight. Like seriously bad.. Offered nothing at all going forward, no movement, nothing. Hegave the ball away just about everytime. I'm just completely gobsmacked such an experienced player can find it so hard to get himself involved in a game. We can't afford to carry him. I hope he improves, because that performance only highlighted just good Kante is.
