ramadaone Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 in his 119 mins prior to today, 57 forward passes 27 backward Key passes 1 Chances created 1 Not bad in context, I think this will be updated tomorrow with todays stats on. Again, he's not amazing, definitely 4th choice on this form, but he's not as awful as our fans make out, he's just off the pace. But he is miles off it and that is the problem Has now been training with us for weeks and still doesn't understand the intensity he needs to play with or is incapable of doing it. I fear it is the second judging on last nights poor performance. Now we have let Hammond go he won't be going out on loan surely as some have suggested ?
TMELcfc Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 He's lacking confidence ... It happens and again, he's had very little game time on England after years in Italy, which is slow as ****. And too many journalists said he was Canbiasso's replacement, which couldn't have helped. Anyway I have seen years of him playing and rate him highly, you don't turn shit over night. I'd like to see him come on in perm with 5-10 mins to go each game to try and get him going again.
Mikey Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Looked a yard off Huddlestone all game...just looked so slow and cumbersome both physically and in the mind. Even 10 yard passes often turned into hospital balls. i'm hoping he gets up to speed with it and there's still a chance that he will but it's not looking to promising. Class penno mind.
FoxyJim1987 Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 If you actually went to the game it was obvious he was shite. Lethargic, uninterested, ineffective. Stats cannot cover up the fact that whole midfield and strikeforce were not good enough until the 3 subs came on. We didn't create a single chance until the subs. Playing Dodoo and Okazaki was like playing with 9 men. The good thing about last night was the defence, individually and as a unit very good. Chilwell is a great prospect and Benalouane was outstanding. Schwarzer is too old and Kramaric will be off in January. Its a good job Vardy is in the form he is, as is Kante and Drinkwater because the replacements are not up to it. Hopefully Ulloa, Dyer and Kante returning on Saturday leads to vast improvement as WBA are in good form.
Guest MattP Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 The real worry is not his lack of ability, we know he's a top player but his complete lack of effort and interest most of the time. Total contrast to Cambiasso who despite being off the pace at times early did really look up for the fight.

But being interested and putting everything into it should be minimum.
J.Lisemore Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 He belongs at QPR. overpaid, overrated and has fvck all interest in playing for our club.
Dan Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 The bloke is not a poor player but he is so unsuited to the way we play it's unreal. I cannot see it working for him here.

If he looked a yard off Huddlestone he REALLY is slow!
Larry_LCFC Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 He isn't a bad player, he just doesn't fit in with us. He clearly doesn't suit a fast attacking style of play that we thrive on. The times I've seen him, he has single handedly slowed the game down which has then instantly changed after he's been subbed off. He either needs to adjust or get used to warming the bench I'm afraid. Alot of people ahead of him in the pecking order.
Wymsey Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 He seemed very happy right at the start (selfies on the pitch, talking to guests etc at the ground). But every time I seen him on the bench ever since, he has appeared miserable as sin. Do genuinely think it's a confidence issue more than ability in this league.
Dan Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Benalouane on the other hand I'm really warming to. He's impressed me every time he's been at centre half. Got a lot more composure on the ball than Morgan or Huth.

Got a lot more composure on the ball than Morgan or Huth. Honestly been shocked with the lack of action he's been getting really.

Gerard Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Anyone who watched the England vs Switzerland game a month a go will see he was fantastic that night, he ran the game for them. I was at Hull last night and he did nothing again for us, he was completely anonymous which is something you never say about Kante or Drinkwater. At 31 he has to hit the ground running for us. There were some decent clubs in for him this summer I'd be happy to get our money back in January as it coincides with Matty James coming back.
les-tah Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Honestly been shocked with the lack of action he's been getting really. i really rate Benny. i suppose its hard breaking up the club captain and Huth, spose ranieri is biding his time.

Back to the topic though,Inler looked slow needed to many touch lost the ball then didn't seem to care etc. In Serie A there must be absolutely no pressuring the ball

Our third best signing this summer after Kante and Fuchs.
Staffs Fox Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 He is not a poor player, you don't get to his level and have his career by being so but the English league can catch anyone out, I remember watching Veron at Lazio and thinking he was the best midfielder I'd ever seen, then look what happened! There were times last season when Cambiasso looked off the pace but he was allowed to play through it and find his feet. With Kante and Drinky looking phenomenal Inler's rightly not being afforded that time. With the Euro's this summer and hopefully James back and looking decent soon, I reckon he might be off in Jan. He came here obviously expecting to be the first name on the teamsheet and he's far, far from it
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Anyone who watched the England vs Switzerland game a month a go will see he was fantastic that night, he ran the game for them. England are a dour side though that play at a snails' pace and don't press hard in the midfield. That played perfectly into Inler's hands, he just sat at the base of their midfield pinning it about. Absolutely no chance he'd get to do that in the Prem and even less chance against a Champ side. Not looking good for him, could be down to 5th choice when Matty James ( ) gets back.
Livid Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Until they have had a decent run in the first 11 i'm reserving judgement. I'm not convinced about Okazaki as a goal scorer but i'm not questioning his work rate and everything at the minute seems to be aimed at putting Vardy in.
artursteppe Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Look guys, I know I am being 'pedantic', but I am just about getting used to 'would of' 'could of' and 'should of', which I now know actually mean 'would have', 'could have', and 'should have'. Then I have to contend with things like 'he is to slow', 'he is to old', and stuff like that. In circumstances where someone wishes to get the point across that something is 'beyond what is desirable' or 'acceptable', in relation perhaps to slowness, the phrase should be 'he is TOO slow' FFS. Just to let you guys in on another little secret 'too' should also be when trying to signify an addition, or perhaps when wishing to say 'also', for example: 'he too is slow', which means 'he is too slow as well'. That could be a bit confusing, how about 'he plays for Leicester too', which means 'as well'. The number '2' when written as a word is spelt 'two'. 'Those two play for Leicester too, but they are both too slow and should go to another club'. Did you notice I have sneaked another word into that sentance which sounds just the same but is used in a different way. 'To' is used in lots of different ways which are always different to the way 'two' and 'too' are used. Primarily 'to' is used when signifying a direction or movement, such as 'he is going to the next match', or 'he is going to Braunstone'.

inckley fox Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Until they have had a decent run in the first 11 i'm reserving judgement. I'm not convinced about Okazaki as a goal scorer but i'm not questioning his work rate and everything at the minute seems to be aimed at putting Vardy in. We've discounted players based on early form in the past, only to be surprised by them later - Russell, Ormondroyd, G Mills, Vardy, and so on. The only player over 30 who I can remember getting off to such a slow start and later coming good is Cottee, but it could happen. Inler's work rate and ability to adapt his game is a concern (and it was obviously a concern in Italy too), and if things don't pick up he might remind us to depend on our scouting network rather than guys the manager knows and thinks can do a job (if that's even the case), but no, it's not game over yet. As for Okazaki, a lot of people who saw him more in Germany than I did say that he's a good 'in and around the box' striker. If so, we haven't seen enough of him in that role and it's harsh to judge him (or Kramaric) on yesterday in isolation, seeing as Inler, King and - worryingly - Albrighton were apparently so ineffective. I'm not convinced by the 'look at his running / work rate' arguments because he rarely puts pressure on the ball when out of possession, seems too lightweight for the physical aspect and I think any half-decent athlete can run around a bit and help up the tempo. So both Inler and Okazaki have been poor, as has Kramaric. And not everyone gets their chances. Be it Ward, Billy Davies, Cresswell, Canero, Kalac, Hamill, Cort, Moreno, Futacs or bigger money signings like Gunnlaugsson, people do make their judgements based on limited evidence, often rightly, and all players can do about it is make the most of whatever opportunities they're given. Whether it's seven or eight PL starts with little return (Okazaki) or three LC games and a sprinkling of PL outings (Inler, Kramaric), they've been given more of an opportunity than some of the above, and as great a chance as most top flight clubs can afford to give an under-performing player.
