bald reynard Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 The Mail, amongst others, are touting Nige as the next Sheeps***gers Manager. I would have thought it's quite likely IF his legal situation ('Gardening Leave') allows it. Phillips is there, plus a few of his other old mates. Bit of a bugger to go that lot, but you can't blame him I guess ? Of course, if it happens, it'll all START off very rosy for him - but then go downhill fast !
EnderbyFox Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 Won't be until the end of the season though will it?Great appointment for them, he'll get them up.
merlin1969 Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 on sky sports news too, take over in summer though ?
kingcarr21 Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 I wouldn't begrudge Pearson going to Derby. I don't really mind Derby. They would be getting a brilliant manager who will bring success to them. If he goes then good luck to him. Wouldn't surprise me if Pearson were to try and sign some of our championship winning players. James or De Laet maybe?
Countryfox Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 Just got a feeling deep down that this will bite us up the bum. The one team I did not want him to go to.
4everfox Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 Just got a feeling deep down that this will bite us up the bum. The one team I did not want him to go to. Better Derby then Forest
Babylon Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 Take over in summer though ? And why would that be... because that's when he knows he can get his old team back together? Makes no sense otherwise.
Guest MattP Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 It will all come down to whether they can pay his salary, he was on a fair whack here and he's still receiving that salary. It would be a superb appointment for them though.
Countryfox Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 Better Derby then Forest Not bothered about Florist .... yesterdays team .. down the pan.
Bettsj2 Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 Not sure how this will bite us on the bum. Unless of course we're expecting Derby to be challenging for the Premier League in a couple of years?
Bellend Sebastian Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 Just got a feeling deep down that this will bite us up the bum. The one team I did not want him to go to. If we win the Premier League this season my bum is there to be bitten by pretty much anyone, no problem. Small price to pay
Vacamion Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 Whilst the suffering of our local rivals is fun, it would be great one day to see Derby, Forest and Cov back in the top league with us. Pearson would be a very good appointment for Derby.
The whole world smiles Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 reading their forum and the majority don't seem to want him. Couldn't believe it he would be a great appointment for any club of ours or derby's size.
Captain... Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 First this should be in General Sport Second, it is still speculation Third, he is a good manager but he likes things done his way and his first job will be getting rid of the bad eggs and then getting the infrastructure and support staff in place, I don't see him having an instant impact unless he already has the right sort of players and staff to work with. Fourth, Clement getting sacked was an odd one, especially if Pearson or whoever won't take over until the summer, they were doing alright and could have turned it round. Finally, should Pearson get the Derby job it doesn't mean anything with regards Shakespeare and Walsh, he may want them to join, Derby may want them to join him, but they are contracted to this club and should be allowed to get on with their job without speculation until a confirmed approach is made.
ramboacdc Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 I wish him luck wherever he goes hes made it a bit difficult with him going derby.
Countryfox Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 Not sure how this will bite us on the bum. Unless of course we're expecting Derby to be challenging for the Premier League in a couple of years? Direby have BIG ambitions and geographically are close which may assist some nabbing of players ... but bottom line I just don't like a manager I admired and is part of our history joining a team that I just really, really don't like. (stupid I know but there it is !).
kingcarr21 Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 I cant believe Derby fans aren't jumping at the chance of getting Pearson. Forget the off the pitch antics just look at his track record. Derby have got good players who should be doing better than they are. Pearson would do a good job there

ramboacdc Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 And why would that be... because that's when he knows he can get his old team back together? Makes no sense otherwise. thing is will they want to join him after this season.

Small price to pay This, if we actually pull this off I'd almost be at the point where I didn't care what happened in the future, I could die happy even we vanished into the non-league.
Pasty1 Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 Shaky & Walsh will join him... That way they look professional aftre this season's finished........ I would bet they have been in discussion with him over the transition arrangements......
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 Pearson is gonna be a sheep? Oh no!!!
