basically he kept kicking the ball an it kept goin in the net

And in case anyone thinks that's just Scouse's usual flippant humour, that's actually exactly what happened. Madness.

Good, entertaining game so far.

Not so convinced by Kramaric, who wasted an enormeously good chance to make it 2-0, and - surprise, surprise - Inler.

We started off so well and had a few good opportunities, West Ham couldn't find a way out of their half.

Then it all went a bit wrong, with possession given away too easily.

But let's see how the second half pans out.

I can't make out a large difference in quality between these two sides.

Next goal will be vital.

An open game, but can't say I've been overly impressed with what I've seen. Benaloune, Dodoo, Simpson and Ulloa doing ok, but poor from everyone else. Ulloa looks very leggy already though. Albrighton's form has dropped like a ton of bricks... Hopefully he'll pick it up again. Inler looking like he's trying to impress too much again. When he keeps it simple he's fine but then he tries a Hollywood pass or long range shot and gives it away.

West Ham however have got a lot of first team players out, and it's showing, they look a bit sharper. Good game time for our players though.

Sorry what game are you watching?

Inler just needs to do the simple passes until he gets used to the team more because alot of his passses, while creative are not finding their targets. Look at Benalouane on the other hand who for a CB has pinged some superb balls out from the back to the wings and most of the time find there target. Kram looks good in the build up to goals but his technique when shooting needs massive improvement, if he put more power into his chip it would have been a goal of the season contender imo but he fluffed the opportunity when it was presented to him. Shame we havent got Vards on the bench as some pace up top would destroy their back line.

But that's the way Inler's been since he came here. He doesn't play simple cos he doesn't seem to relish pass and move. So he pings these Hoddle balls - but with a duff radar! Most people would cut out the passes that let you down and stick with the simpler ones - like King. But Inler doesn't do that. He keeps giving the ball away and people keep having to raise a sweat getting it back. Hence the "possession" problem or at least part of it.

But will he EVER learn ... Getting really worried now about this one ...

Nah, he kicked it like 3 times for the 3rd goal.

Edited: My source was very blurry :D

Getting mixed messages about Inler - might be like Esteban a bit in terms of his passes are good but not on wavelength, or am I being too nice?  Wish I could be watching this!

Really impressed by Albrighton and his crossing so far. Him, Simpson and Benalouane the best performers up to this point.

Agree with that would add dodoo think for saying this is a prem side i think hes done really well so far.

Could Simpson possibly replace De Laet on Saturday?
