thursday_next Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Some comments from the Saints post-match thread: 'Leicester fully deserved a win on that second half performance we were a shambles' 'We were by far the 2nd best side. They should have won that. That's what fitness and work rate look like. Leicester are a Top 8 side this season and more teams will be "Leicestered", just as we were.It wasn't that we played poorly, it was because they out-ran and out-worked us throughout the second half. Props to them and Ranieri for his half time adjustments. And people can take the p*ss out of Vardy all they like but there are few strikers harder to keep out of the game than him. He was just like that with Fleetwood and that kind of aggressive running works at this level as well' 'Good side Leicester.Never rated vardy much but can see why he is in the England squad. Nightmare of a player' 'Leicester wanted it more so we were lucky to get the point, and Jaime (sic) Vardy is on fire at the moment' ''Knowing what Leicester are capable of with comebacks this season, I had a look at half time on a 2-2 result, it was 90-1. I was tempted by that. Kicking myself now...' 'Take that against a resilient side. Scored from two setpieces (of sorts); but otherwise didn't test Schmeichel' I don't think they're likely to turn into another Sunderland!
The Horse's Mouth Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Better than you some on here. yeah agreed, they have less racists too

foxfanazer Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Well worth the draw and maybe more after that dominating second half. Can't keep conceding these cheap goals though, it's so frustrating. Vardy is unplayable at the moment so long may it continue. Okazaki again was ineffective and should be dropped for Ulloa. Massive game next week
EnglishOxide Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 i had us down to lose, soton had just beaten swansea and chelsea and have a lot of good players. Happy to be proved wrong though I'm pretty sure they all had us down to lose to Norwich too
VLC86 Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 The "You're ****ing shit" chant was brilliant and to be right next to their fans for that ending is right up there for me. Not really sure who I was hugging/strangling in the end but what a day!
Guest Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 yeah agreed, they have less racists too Talking about the Okazaki haters.
thursday_next Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Yeah yeah yea. But what do Sunderland think of us? Tinpot! I don't think we deserve that. But maybe they're right. They are about lots of things, particularly their own team.
fuchsntf Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 This is the Leicester City we want to support. We have weaknesses, we have deficiencies, we're not a great team but my word we get every ounce out of the players. Their character is first class. Fearless is actually right, we do struggle in games but we never know when we're beaten. Since Hull in March we've been incredible in both results and performances. I want us to be tighter at the back, we do need a clean sheet and a comfortable win soon but it's taken years for us to be competent and dangerous in this division and we are that now. Superb. Spot on. It took 10 years out of our lives, now enjoy these ups and downs. This is the Premier league, sometimes I believe some fans forget,....hey we are fifth, lost 1 game this season. Some say..yakky yakkity it could of been better...if !! Could of been worse, many of you would of now been happy with Stoke or Norwich position. Again we are 5th with a 9 goal top scorer, who hmmm is an England International. We have 2 avg players from last season hitting the highs in Vardy n Mahrez.Schlupp hitting his straps, a little winger turning it on.Dyer A midfield who unlike last season can stop, trap, and pass a ball. Albrighton now our most consistent player. CBs, maybe picking balls out the net, but not making howlers like last year. We have, opposition fans, tv, radio pundits saying what an exciting side we are. A manager, who doesnt need to make daft remarks and has a permanent smile... Miserable negative posters, who are just being laughed at, and dont understand we prefer the positive vibes.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Yeah yeah yea. But what do Sunderland think of us? That we are sh*t and Vardy belongs in non-league

VLC86 Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Probably me if you was hanging over the netting when we scored lol Hahahah sounds about right hahah
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Said a few days ago in another thread, I've always had a soft spot for Southampton and my dads a saints fan. Great team, great setup, great youth setup, very decent fans, no delusion. Yeah well decent fans like the melt on Twitter who is arguing that we are an average side bar Mahrez or the people that said they hope Nuge got AIDS / died in a car crash with his family after we beat them at St Mary's in 2012. Every club has turds and these are no different.
Ashley Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Hahahah sounds about right hahah Was you wearing a grey jumper??
The Blur Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 It's cool, Enderby's a top lad who doesn't mind putting up legally dubious streamable links. Fair enough, it is still worth a download for on the go as it is an app that broadcast all scores and will show videos of goals as well. It is also great if you are into betting as well because it is really easy to see past matches and all records etc.
VLC86 Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Was you wearing a grey jumper?? No mate a blue fleece, on row FF
Ralph Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Only reason we were 2-0 down was because Simpson was marking Pelle at set pieces. It was so obviously a flaw in setting them up. Great comeback again though. The crowd were great as ever.
GingerrrFox Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Can't believe people think Albrighton had a good game. He can't beat a man, he looked to whip the ball in from anywhere and everywhere even when it wasn't the right option, his crosses rarely beat the first man and his set piece delivery was poor. Fair enough he tries hard but we are much better than that now and should be looking to push on and maintain this Top 8 position.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Fantastic point after coming from behind once again. Pleased for Vardy scoring two today to increase his goal tally. We have great strength in depth with the ability to bring on players who can change the game which is always pleasing. Onto the next one.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Vardy 9 goals in 9 .. Messi watch out. My genius Math knowledge tills me at that rate he will score 38 league goals

Great comeback again though. The crowd were great as ever. Well what do you suggest? In Fonte, Van Dyke, Wanyama and Pelle Southampton had four huge targets for set pieces. After Wes, Huth and perhaps Fuchs, we have nobody else who can match them for size and we were always likely to struggle at set-pieces.

GingerrrFox Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 get real mate He's got nothing on Dyer and Mahrez. Far better options on the wing and then play Ulloa with Vardy as strikers. Okazaki doesn't deserve a starting place at the moment and something is clearly not right with Kramaric. How anyone can say Albrighton should start above Mahrez and Dyer is beyond me.

Agree with Okazaki but your well off with Albrighton he works hard and deserves his place. Marhez was playin more central he clearly leaves to much space in behind when out wide, away from home. hence him not starting. Dyer > Schluup?
