The manager should have had that sorted before the game and almost cost us the points. We don't seem to press until we go behind, which is what we're best at. However, yet again he made the right subs at the right time and it paid off but he can't keep setting us up wrong because we won't come back every game... Will we?

Dyer and Mahrez gave Southampton much more to think about and so Vardy had more space to do his stuff. 1st half we sat too deep. 2nd half we pressed them whenever there was a goal kick or the keeper had the ball, this made them uncomfortable.

I was watching with my Southampton supporting mate and he couldn't believe how good we were in the second half. Also another person to say how wrong he was on vardy and how he is now 'a big fan' At the moment it seems he changes everyone he plays mind on how good he is.

There's no simple way of improving our defensive failings while retaining our attacking pace and threat within the current 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 approach. All the options seem flawed. But I still don't see how Shinji gets his starting place.

If only his shots weren't blocked so easily it'd have been one of the greatest performances by a City winger for a long time. Danny was great in midfield too.

We have to stop giving ourselves so much to do because today we were the better team but only have a point to show for it when it should be 3. However, its great to see us playing this well, in Vardy we have one of the most dangerous forwards in the league and the midfield is shaping up nicely too. Onwards and upwards, hopefully to 3 points against palace
