Babylon Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 So we're average dirty cheats who met them on a bad day according to their Twitter fans. You have to laugh.
adamkhalifa Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Ulloa needs to start next game please. Love the way Vardy strikes the ball. Reminds me of the Kev Phillips. Schlupp was dissapointing today. Ranieri with master stroke once again. The number of times Schmichael, kicks straight out of play winds me up. The come back was amazing.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 We are amazing. I love it. This is brilliant. (December will be really difficult)
GingerrrFox Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Agree with Okazaki but your well off with Albrighton he works hard and deserves his place. Marhez was playin more central he clearly leaves to much space in behind when out wide, away from home. hence him not starting. Dyer > Schluup? My 2 options would be to play Mahrez behind Vardy with Schlupp and Dyer on the wings. I like Schlupp more than Albrighton, pace kills teams and Schlupp is lightening quick, I think he's the better player. The other option would be Dyer and Mahrez on the wing with Ulloa up with Vardy in a 4-4-2. 1) Mahrez 2) Dyer 3) Schlupp 4) Albrighton Is how I rank our wingers. IMO humble opinion of course.
sad saints fan Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 hello my brush tailed friends saints fan here in peace to give you a southampton perspective. Teams like ours(and I mean that in a positive sense) thrive if there is a good work ethic, team spirit and our 1 or 2 special players hit form. Today in the first half we matched yours and your defence looked a bit shakey against corners and set pieces. So 2-0.For some reason in the second half our lot decided to stop working and your lot increased the closing down of our back four so 2-2 but you really should have won,you were better than us by far in the second half. Vardy is a nightmare to play against and Marhez is class. So hopefully you will carry on in the same way all season and end up one place below in the league come May. Cheer up second in the premier league isnt bad . All the best for the rest of the season apart from one game. p.s please stuff Spurs and Liverpool p.p.s Your fans were a credit got right behind the team
KFS Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 So we're average dirty cheats who met them on a bad day according to their Twitter fans. You have to laugh. There are so many like that, I'm living in a big Southampton catchment area and a lot of friends think they're the gift of the Premier League. It was like playing Stoke of 2009 today, they were useless other than the set plays. Felt so good given they sung about us being "fvcking shit" for a good 40 minutes. Had to tell one of them who was double my age to calm down whilst walking away; someone simply asked him how they beat Chelsea 3-1 and he flipped.

Ralph Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Well what do you suggest? In Fonte, Van Dyke, Wanyama and Pelle Southampton had four huge targets for set pieces. After Wes, Huth and perhaps Fuchs, we have nobody else who can match them for size and we were always likely to struggle at set-pieces. Well what do you suggest? Fez of Mahrez Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Wes was marking Fonte, he just lost him completely and Kante was stuck in between them. Probably the two best set piece teams in the division up next so we need to improve. Need to decide whether it's worth risking Benalouane at RB for the extra height.

Could also be worth sticking Ulloa in for that as well.
deep blue Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Brilliant stuff .Can the people who keep criticising Ranieri kindly get ****ed and get behind him. I just don't get posts like this. It's good that Ranieri corrects his mistakes at HT, but why is it wrong to criticise his original mistake (team selection and formation). We are clearly better suited to all-out attack as the best means of defence, and with 3 CBs. This was amply demonstrated at the end of last season.
Spudulike Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Peter Beagrie will probably still tell the Sky viewers that we are a good set piece team He's made a career of it.
whoareyaaa Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Vardy became only the fourth Englishman this century to score in six successive Premier League matches.
Stan Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Can't believe people think Albrighton had a good game. He can't beat a man, he looked to whip the ball in from anywhere and everywhere even when it wasn't the right option, his crosses rarely beat the first man and his set piece delivery was poor. Fair enough he tries hard but we are much better than that now and should be looking to push on and maintain this Top 8 position. Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man. Thankfully, our manager sees things differently.

We are playing a different system this season and are still 5th in the league. If anything, we look even more dangerous now
foxes_rule1978 Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 This sums us up: http://youtu.be/XfN_DEBrUVI
SecretPro Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 He's got nothing on Dyer and Mahrez. Far better options on the wing and then play Ulloa with Vardy as strikers. Okazaki doesn't deserve a starting place at the moment and something is clearly not right with Kramaric. How anyone can say Albrighton should start above Mahrez and Dyer is beyond me. No way am I saying Albrighton should start ahead of Mahrez. What I am saying is Albrighton should start ahead of Mahrez on the wing. Mahrez is an amazing, talented player, but when he's being used as a wide man it leaves us a lot more open defensively. Regardless, Mahrez best role is in the hole. Id drop Shinji for Mahrez and play Albrighton and Dyer on the wings at present.

Can't recall a game back end last year where we went for it the whole 90 mins. It's not physically possible. I think Claudio wants to keep it as tight as he can until it's time to let us off the leash. We're great going forward but you can't just attack for the whole game.
MPH Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 This current form ( if we keep it up) will do us no harm at all in the January transfer window.

blueharmie Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 I think Vardy loves Lcfc. What a season he is having.
Ralph Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 I suggest ullouh starts against teams like this to prevent danger at set pieces. He would have ably marked any big guy. I suggest ullouh starts against big teams like this to prevent danger at set pieces. He would have ably marked any big guy.
