Benji Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 I expect to receive fan mail after my HT post. Still quietly confident we can get something from this. Dyer and Mahrez on and see what happens. Two crosses into the box have done us (still think the second is offside but stream won't show any replays), at least we're not being battered like Arsenal. EDIT, just seen it again. At least a yard off - what exactly are linesmen for if they can't spot an offside from a static corner routine?

Harry - LCFC Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 It's something I almost expect now after a mediocre first half: Bring Okazaki off (who I'm afraid isn't having a good time atm), get all three of Albrighton, Mahrez and Dyer supporting Vardy and we look far more dangerous.

We have weaknesses, we have deficiencies, we're not a great team but my word we get every ounce out of the players. Their character is first class. Fearless is actually right, we do struggle in games but we never know when we're beaten. Since Hull in March we've been incredible in both results and performances. I want us to be tighter at the back, we do need a clean sheet and a comfortable win soon but it's taken years for us to be competent and dangerous in this division and we are that now. Superb.

cityfanlee23 Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 We NEED a new CB in January, Simpson has been an improvement on De Laet slightly but still has limitations, huth has been a bit ropey at times this season, and Morgan has his eyes closed half the time I'm sure. Fuchs really does look like a class act and we have got an absolute bargain!! We cannot play 4-4-2 and try to counter, it's far too flat, Southampton set up well. Okazaki huffs and puffs but isn't good enough on this seasons evidence, I'd rather have nugent back right now, but deserves a chance, needs to come from the bench though. Kramaric or ulloa NEED to be given game time, vardy is on fire but without him and mahrez we are pretty flat all over. We need to get them playing fast or they won't ever hit any sort of form. I think we went 4-3-3 second half? It worked well and we probably need to stick with that if we refuse to play 3 at the back. 4-4-2 has had its time now in my opinion.
lgfualol Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Can we make a rule where you can't be crying at half time that we've lost the game and Ranieri out. Why can't everyone just back the team, they pull off comebacks pretty much every week. This game really showed one of our weaknesses though, crosses. Crystal Palace will be a problem but we can score against anyone at the moment.
