LanguedocFox Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 I'm so pleased with the way Drinkwater is growing into that central midfield role. If he carries on, he could be playing for England in Rio. That would be neat.
Guest Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Type of game we need to win and we did. Joint top of the league.
Guest Col city fan Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Just wow! Another win This team literally never gives in and Kante could be the best signing for years.
Ozwin Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Watford first half were one of the best sides we've played this season. Tactical masterclass second half, I'm not even entirely sure what it was that changed but Ranieri has done it too many times this season for it to be a fluke.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Decent win and more of a grind than previous ones as i don't think we played that well. Little bit annoyed we didn't get a clean sheet too. Really should have done. Watford were decent though, well organised and tough to break down. Thought generally they isolated Vardy well too. But happy with the three points
cityfanlee23 Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 In fairness to watford, to bring in 13 players and gel so quickly and play so well, they really have done fantastic.
Izzy Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 What did we learn today? Mahrez is a winger! not a forward, not in the hole - he is at his most dangerous on the wing. We can defend well organised at the back, and I don't think they caused us any real problems today. Watford are a decent side and will stay up comfortably. Kante is a beast. Gomez is a clown. We are (joint) top of the league! Yep, pretty much agree with all of that.
foxfanazer Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Watford first half were one of the best sides we've played this season. Tactical masterclass second half, I'm not even entirely sure what it was that changed but Ranieri has done it too many times this season for it to be a fluke. Not doubting him at all but could it be our immense fitness levels? Second half we just look like we have an extra couple of players
MooseBreath Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Different team 2nd half. Mahrez a million times more effective on the wing. Okazaki put in another solid shift. Drinkwater with another accomplished performance. Solid defending generally. Albrighton looked dangerous every time he got the ball. Vardy just don't scare for nothing. Should have started with that 2nd half line up because that would have been a comfortable win, Watford didn't look up to much. They're not going down but they're a bang average bottom half team.
Webbo Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 The next SEVEN matches, a telling period for where we're at. Bring. it. on. We just need Villa to put 11 past Man City tomorrow.
The Doctor Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 17 points clear of relegation and from surpassing last seasons tally. Nearly there now.
katieakita Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 I'm so pleased with the way Drinkwater is growing into that central midfield role. If he carries on, he could be playing for England in Rio. That would be neat. When we playing Brazil?
cityfanlee23 Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 NO RADIO LEICESTER NO STOP TALKING ABOUT FECKING CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. Enjoy it but stop, Running before we are walking!! Top 8 is the target from here.
LanguedocFox Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 As it says on the BBC website: "Jamie Vardy scored for a ninth successive Premier League game as Leicester beat Watford to go level on points with Manchester City and Arsenal at the top of the table." Cut that out and in it on the wall!
lgfualol Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 What a team. I love Vardy. I love Ranieri. I love Schlupp.
Larry_LCFC Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Great performance! Playing Vardy as a lone striker doesn't work. Okazaki came on and made a difference without a doubt. Fair play to Mahrez for listening to the fans. Not nice booing him but it just had to be Vardy taking it. Quality Tifo aswell.
ARM1968 Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Unbelievable really. CR is a master. Great result against a solid side. Eventually I might relax, but not yet.
Jakemoore Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 What a superb team we have. We show this incredible ability to win in so many different ways. And I think that's part credit to a young squad which has really matured but also down to the tactical nouse of Ranieri. The team just know how to see a win out masterfully. Having said that, Watford looked poor today. I don't know how they managed to win against the likes of Westham, because today they were crap.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Champions League I truly starting to feel it, I think this is a season we seriously could do it.
foxfanazer Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 If DD carries on this form he'll be England's 5th choice right back in no time at all
KP Fox Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 The Mahrez/Vardy penalty moment reminded me of that Nathan Dyer incident at Wembley. So glad Mahrez was a gentleman about it.
