Steven Posted 7 November 2015 Author Posted 7 November 2015 15 points from safety! Fan bloody tastic. It was April last season. Plaintive or what.
Izzy Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Schlupp isn't good enough in the final third to play on the wing imo. Good impact sub? Yep, I think so at the moment. The 'nice' problem is we've got 4 wingers really so I'd bring Jeff or Dyer on if Albrighton or Mahrez tire. I think CR tried to accommodate three of them first half and realised it wasn't working. Fair play to him taking Jeff off at half time, we looked different class second half.
kingfox Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 All those comments and not a single mention of Wes Morgan Thought Wes was brilliant today, many well timed interceptions, thought he was solid in the air & kept Ighalo & Deeney fairly quiet. He really doesn't get enough credit, yes he makes the odd mistake now and then, but all in all he has probably been our best defender so far this season. As for others Kante & Drinkwater were brilliant for the majority of the game, Okazaki did very well but he really needs a goal. As for Watford they tried but lacked quality, their defence though was awful especially Britos. Got gifted the win but all in all we deserved the three points, roll on Newcastle
Dr The Singh Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Close game, we won due to mistakes. However Watford were good but we were better

The Quick Brown Fox Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Is it just me that thought mahrez didn't want to let Vardy take the pen? Vardy went to get the ball from him and he said no and took the ball to the spot, the boos were loud and vardys name was called out for what seemed like ages before he called Vardy over and handed him the ball.
Countryfox Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Think 2-0 or 3-1 would've been a more accurate reflection of the game. Kante had a bit of a brain fart but he should've got a shout (if he didn't) Wish we could get a full 90 minute performance from Riyad Mahrez was out of position for the first half but CR corrected it at half time and we were off ! Surely now all those that don't know what Okazaki brings to the team can see that in the second half we were a different team. I know he doesn't score and dives like a good un but we certainly play better when he is up there pressing with Vardy. And never mind a new RB we need someone who can score goals ... If heaven forbid we lose JV we will have a big problem. But a fantastic day at the office and CR is showing what a class act he is.
les-tah Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Would love a central attacking midfielder someone who oozes class and creativity bit like payet to bridge the gap between dd&kante and vardy. Not schlupp?:...:
Matt Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Is it just me that thought mahrez didn't want to let Vardy take the pen? Vardy went to get the ball from him and he said no and took the ball to the spot, the boos were loud and vardys name was called out for what seemed like ages before he called Vardy over and handed him the ball. I think Drinkwater talked Mahrez into giving it Vardy, you're right though Mahrez wanted it. Fair play to him for coming round to giving it Vardy.

Excuse me!. .................................... "Yes, Fuchs was all but exemplary against a tough opponent but Morgan was masterful too and absolutely vital in stretching to make a deflective header to foil incoming Watford striker Troy Deeney who would probably have had a free header from five yards otherwise."
weller54 Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 I was there when Kanté made a mistake. Transfer list him!

Sorry Thrac couldn't be bothered to read your essay, bit tired.
Livid Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Stepped it up in the second half. Superb team performance. After they hit the post the only way they looked like scoring would be from us giving them one. We duly obliged, that Leicester City trait needs to be eradicated.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 One mistake and certain fans want our best players transfer listed. Such a shame. It's disgusting, he should look at himself in the mirror, we can't be making these errors!
steflcfc Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Think it was nearly a perfect day apart from not keeping a clean sheet At half time Ranieri rectified his 2 mistakes in the starting line up by moving Mahrez on the wing and taking Schlupp off who I thought was a passenger first half. Once these changes were made we seen the usual Leicester we have seem the last few weeks more fluently attacking. The latter I think he needs to nail down a set position as he ain't really a defender and apart from speed I wouldn't class him as a winger with his irratic shooting and crossing. More work on the training ground is needed to hone these. He has the potential to develop, but can we give him the time he needs with more accomplished wingers I would say in Dyer, Mahrez and Albrighton.
Izzy Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Spot on mate, Morgan was superb and MOTM for me. What a difference compared to the 'calamity Morgan' stuff last season. He just looks technically so much better and more comfortable on the ball now. Fair play to him, a massive improvement.
weller54 Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 It's disgusting, he should look at himself in the mirror, we can't be making these errors! Just not good enough at this level.. Wouldn't have seen that from the likes of GTF!!!
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Sort of, He has pace, Strength, "ariel ability" His passing is inconsistent but he can pick a pass out as he's done a fair few times over the last few seasons, He can't cross we've established that.. But if he worked on both his feet, and his consistency in passing etc, Why not? Highly unlikely I know. He tried it for all of 15 mins Prefer him a winger definitely, But he needs to learn to cross! I thought he was surprisingly decent in the middle to be fair. Seems to have worked on using both feet a lot, and his passing has improved. We'll make a player of him yet
Foxymcoxy Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Fantastic result. I don't think Mahrez can play in the middle of Schlupp and Albrighton on a regular basis. They hug the touchline and Riyad looks isolated, therefore leaving Vardy with mainly long balls and crosses to feed on.
steflcfc Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Also forgot to mention, the defence looked the most solid I have seen all season, The back 4 all defenced superbly against a difficult Watford attack. Morgan and Huth intercepted, battled and won a lot of ariel challenges. And Simpson and Fucts stuck to their tasks well rarely getting beaten. On a side note Thoufgt the Watford right back looked a strong decent player didn't know his name tho.
EnglishOxide Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Fantastic result. I don't think Mahrez can play in the middle of Schlupp and Albrighton on a regular basis. They hug the touchline and Riyad looks isolated, therefore leaving Vardy with mainly long balls and crosses to feed on. The only time Riyad has worked down the middle is the second half at Southampton where they were cruising and unprepared for Mahrez dropping in there. It's not a lost cause, as Mahrez can still learn but he is definitely better on the wing as it stands where he can't be crowded out and muscled off the ball.
Jaspa Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Whens the last Remembrance game we won? Watford were better that I thought, a solid team with alot of physical strength and some quality players hiding away in there. A couple of first teamers and a few months of successful gelling away from being a mid table team. I dont know how their management system works after last season though, they seem to shed them with no ill effects. We pretty much did it again without going behind in the first half, top work from Wes in the first half and although we werent sharp upfront we were capable at the back. Second half we seemed to unsheathe and found space to play, Drinky running it all over the midfield and both he and Kante putting in a shift, N'Golo deserved something for his wind into the box and his efforts here. Fuchs was excellent and ended the game better than he did Palace; solid. Vards seemed to run off another moderate injury and put in a familiar performance, moment of magic to win the pen and a convicted finish.
VLC86 Posted 7 November 2015 Posted 7 November 2015 Whens the last Remembrance game we won? Can't remember.
