Surely our relegation under Taylor was more Taylor's fault than the relegation under Holloway was Holloway's?

100% Correct.

We were relegated after 45 mins of game 1 under Taylor. Thats how bad it was, everyone knew.

Exactly, which is why Taylor was definitely the worst Manager ever associated with the Club.

Levein I will remember for the worst football I had to watch but to be fair, we were signing players who were worth about 100k.

Taylor for how he ruined O'neil's team.

Holloway for getting us relegated to League 1...

TAYLOR wins... just.

Levein had the tough task of slashing the budget whilst moving the club forward. Levein was sacked and Rob Kelly took over and saved us from relegation, and was given the job permanently. But he was quite clearly out of his depth, and he was subsequently replaced by Nigel Worthungton. Do you guys remembr the 3-0 defeat away at Plymouth? It was utterly diabolical times.

It was a difficult time for the club so I dont dislike any of them. They were working with useless players like Josh Low, Mohamed Sylla and Elvis Hammond.

Holloway was a smug **** who was was useless. I'm still annoyed we went down they year. He bought Steve Howard and Matt Oakley from Derby, and had somewhat decent competent defenders in Stearman, McAuley and Kisnorbo. That side should not have gone down.

Taulor, Holloway and Megson were all dislike by me.

Christ, Peter Taylor. Always Peter Taylor. Forever Peter Taylor. Surely nobody could ever take us from such a high to such a low, and almost kill the club, and sign Dennis Wise, and sign Junior Lewis. Peter Taylor.

Has Taylor ever spoken about his time here? Does he actually know how much he f**ked up?

Interview from 2002, so maybe he's changed his mind in the following 13 years:

"I do not look on my signings as a disaster," argued the man who spent £5m on Ade Akinbiyi, £3m on Matthew Jones, £3m on Jamie Scowcroft and £1.5m on Trevor Benjamin.

"I honestly feel people can only have a go at me over Ade Akinbiyi because that move cost a lot of money.

"It is all very easy to say my signings are the reason why Leicester are bottom of the Premiership - but they are in a worse position now than when I left. If you look at the whole picture, other players did not perform at the start of the season and they were people I didn't sign."

"Gary Rowett should have got the Player of the Year last season, and for me the signings this year - Ian Walker, Jamie Scowcroft and Dennis Wise - are fine and all good players for Leicester City.

lol

I did consider saying Taylor just for the devilment but Mr Pleat left me so scarred, it's taken years of therapy and I'm still not over it.

It wasn't even Pleat's fault though, if you want to blame someone, blame Shipman. Any manager would struggle when constantly having his best players sold from under him and then being given a fraction of that cash to replace them. He was constantly rummaging round the bottom of the 99p bargain bin to come up with players and let's not forget he did bring in Tommy Wright, Kevin Russell, Gary Mills, Tony James, David Kelly and David Oldfield all of which were made good use of by Brian Little. Shipman simply went too far in his obsession with balancing the books, turning us into a selling club with no ambition with a team constantly degrading in quality. I can understand why he did it, gates were so low right through the 80s that he felt he had no choice, unfortunately, that also has the effect of lowering gates even further, worsening the problem. If we'd appointed Brian Little with Shipman still in charge, nothing would have changed and we wouldn't be where we are now. In fact, we'd have gone down to division 3 a lot sooner playing in front of 5000 rather than 8000 no matter who the manager was.

Which is why austerity doesn't work :P

Several posters have named that asshole Megson for leaving City after only 4 games in charge. All I have to say is thank God he did! The bloke is a waste of space. After leaving us, he was sacked by Bolton then rejoined Mandaric at Sheffield Wednesday & was also sacked by them.

Good riddance!

How anyone could say anyone else than Taylor is beyond me.

That guy literally ruined this club! Managers that had came after wouldn't of happened if it wasn't for him in the first place.

He ripped apart a strong and respected team, wasted money that with the stadium move put the club in financial problems and helped destroy the club with signings such as Wise and Akinbadbuy

Yes there were people like Holloway who was a complete clown and took us into the clubs lowest point but he also inherited that team and wasn't here for too long too. For years our club was slowing falling. As silly as it sounds but that relegation could of been a blessing in disguise. We was able to start again from scratch and build a solid foundation that as took us to where we are today

Sorry to be pedantic but the question is most disliked not worst so my vote is Holloway because of his lack of care about our history busting relegation.

As for worst then it's  a tight call between Taylor and McLintock.

McLintock has got to be up there with Taylor in terms destroying a team and incompetence he took a decent Bloom field team that had finished the previous season in 11th place and ended up 22nd with just 5 wins and scoring just 26 goals

Players like Worthington, Weller,  Blockley, May, etc were replaced by Lammy Robertson, Alan Waddle and Roger Davis.

I seem to remember that he threatened to come out of retirement as he thought he could do a better job in defence than the players at the time.

It's hard to look beyond Taylor as he put the club back 10 years. His signing of players was dire, spending millions on rubbish and Wise, and that after selling our best.

However, I'm glad so many remember the David Bleat years. I remember some of our worst football under him. To hear him now as an 'expert' really annoys me. In fact I can't listen to him when I sometimes listen to Radio 5 live out here.

McLintock also deserves a mention. Bloomfield had built a very exciting and competitive team, which he quickly dismantled. Jock Wallace had a big rebuilding job.

Levein signed rubbish and his style was dire.

Megson I hated his football, and I'm glad he didn't stay as he pretty much ruined Bolton. That could've been us.

Allen was totally out of his depth.

Hollowhead was just a clown.

Gosh, we've had some truly terrible managers. At least we've had some really good ones to repair the damage done by the above.

Taylor and Rob Kelly came straight to mind. But,my life, Frank McLintock was as bad a manager as we ever had for all that he was a brilliant wing half (as we called em). Craig Levein was a near constant disappointment.  I thought of him as Craig Leavin'  both for the long suffering fans who had to put up with his shit - and as a reflection of my constant hopes.

Taylor failed because he wasn't good enough, I'm sure he was trying his best. Same with Holloway, even though he inherited a bad situation. McGhee jumped ship for "sleeping giant" Wolves, the c##t.
