Claudio Ranieri.....He is stopping us enjoying an exciting pulsating relegation battle.

What does he do...He gets us into boring top of the table, non eventfull non meaning games.

Boring no pressure, no women and young boys screaming in the crowd.Tension 0 we know

we will score. He coaches us to be poor at corners, so we have at least something to be wary of.

Anybody can beat top teams, look at W.Ham, Palace and Stoke. They are well behind us on points.

Why/how did we decide to get ourselves in this mess, we were doing so well scraping results,

scoring own goals to help the oppo.

Ranieri is so nice, and a top coach to boot, but at least Pearson got himself into feisty arguments,

awards for WWE and ruffling some Ostrich feathers.

Claudio doesnt even give us any respite to enjoy the stresses of bottom 5 fights.

What history will make of him only God knows....and hes our nr 9....;) ;)

Taylor win's it by a mile. Will never forget some of the shit he signed and the way we went from a hard working unit to a clueless act with a sprinkling of class (Izzet, Elliott...) within the space of a year. Problems started long before the Wycombe game if Muzzy's book is to be believed.

I liked Levein initially with his close rapport with the fan's but his style and choice of player was poor and he deserved the sack.

Rob Kelly was Levein-lite.....decent at steadying the ship in a caretaker role but completely out of his depth when he took the job full time.

Holloway did take over a struggling team but we were 17th when he arrived, had money to spend in the January (Howard and Oakley from Derby, Barry Hayles and the Hungarian wingers plus many loan signings) and failed to keep us up. He couldn't manage back-to-back wins. Holloway had no real excuses for not surviving, 42 goals is criminal for a 46-game season.

Taylor. What a monumental bell end.

Spent an unprecedented 25mn turning a silk purse into a sow's ear.  I remember the disbelief of signing Akinbiyi, Matt Jones, Trevor Benjamin, Lee Marshall, that bloke from York,

Callum Davison, junior bloody Lewis...

... God, I need to lie down.

Taylor for obvious reasons - akinbiyi 5 mill? lol enough said.

But Holloway as well. How he got relegated woth the players he had at his disposal. We were a strong side on paper. Certainly not relegation fodder. That should never have happened. Not when you consider the squads that kept us up the few years before under levein, Kelly etc. Then for him to be clowning around in the press when a serious and stern face was clearly needed, nah I think he is as much of a bad guy as tator peeler. We were so lucky we had Mandaric and investment otherwise we would have been in serious trouble, big wage demands and a 32000 seater stadium in league one, it could have sunk us that.

You could argue Mandaric's hire and fire manager policy and revolving door transfer policy were key reasons we ended up in league 1 in the first place.

We hit gold with these owners. Whether that was judgement or luck on Mandaric's part i dont know, but he is most definitely one for making a quick buck.

42 goals and that's despite beating Watford 4-1, West Brom 4-1 and Norwich 4-0.

30 goals in 43 games lol that's absolutely pathetic at any level.

We failed to score in 19 games. Wow.

Well guys it looks like Mr Fkg Taylor takes 1st prize & Hollowhead 2nd, both well deserved.

However, I remember back when it was announced that Taylor was to be our new manager, I felt very excited cos he had just got his present club promoted ( was it Brentford?) & he had been very successful as Englands U21 manager, I thought we were onto a good thing. How bloody wrong I was!!!

I still can't stand McGee!!!

Definitely luck. He didn't care who he sold to.

Look at Pompey, they ended up being bought by an arms dealer!

Taylor left a decade long legacy of disaster !

Anyone living would struggle to name another manager who had such a profoundly negative impact on this might club.

I totally agree, but I also remember a certain Frank McLintock back in 77-78 his failings also cost the club massive.

Peter Taylor without doubt.

Martin Allen, god knows why we appointed him.

Surprised at the amount of people saying Holloway. Yeah he was shit, but Taylor tore everything to bits. Holloway just brought in a few shit players and we looked no worse than we did for the rest of that season.

Forgot about Levein, what a load of shit. Unreal how he kept getting the shit ones from Scotland even when Maybury and De Vries were obvious failures.

Taylor, is there really any doubt about this?

I was really pleased when he got the job as he was touted as an up and coming manager who had excelled with the England U21's.

At the time English teams didn't scout as thoroughly in Europe as they do today. Nowadays if we're linked with a player from Bulgaria you'll see so are Stoke and West Ham, etc. I had visions of Taylor signing the best young talent from Yugoslavia, Romania, etc which were footballing hotbeds at the time as he'd noted these players managing England U21's.

I first had my reservations about him before a ball was kicked when he got rid of Cottee and Collymore and brought in Akinbiyi, Scowcroft, Cresswell and Benjamin for about £10m which was a lot of money at the time. I remember thinking why has he brought in four strikers when he can only play two of them? Also what did he know about Akinbiyi as he was never in a position to purchase him and he'd never worked with him?

Anyway to cut a long story short all four proved relatively useless throughout their careers and were all typical Taylor purchases. I wouldn't trust him to take the dog for a walk.

Perhaps you should start thread on The Worst Manager this one is the most disliked that's why I chose Holloway because as well as being useless he seemingly thought our relegation to our lowest ever point was something to joke about. Where as Taylor and McLintock were both just incompetent.

Not really. I didn't realise people actually hated him to be honest, he made some silly comments but did look distraught when we went down at Stoke.

100% winner in my opinion has got to be Peter Taylor. Wrecked our youth squad, then reserves and finally our first team. Awful, inept, useless, any other derogatory words you could say are all true.
