Question for the stato's .... just saying that if we did the unthinkable and win the league has any other team ever won the top 3 leagues in such a short space of time ?

Great question.

Ipswich did it in five seasons:

1957   Division 3 South  Champions

1961   Division 2            Champions

1962   Division 1            Champions

Are you saying we've got to drop to League 2 for the set?! ;)

So it would be one of those 'since the formation of the premier league' records if we did it .... would we indeed be the first since then?

Was thinking man city but they went through the playoffs from tier 3

has any player won them all at the same club in the same spell? man like kingy gonna break more records.

Got to feel sorry for Logan.

Okazaki had 48 touches yesterday.

Apologies if similar already posted but I looked at the average points totals over the past 5 years and found:

Average 4th place = 72 points (although massive variation from 68-78!)

Average 6th place = 62 points

Average 10th place = 50 points

So to finish top 6, we need less than a point a game

For top 4, we need 1.6 points a game (up to 1.9pts if it's 78pts total)

Wonder whatever happened to the manager that did that with Ipswich.... Must've been pretty good... ;)

Auxerre did it in the French league too under legendary manager Guy Roux (who I think is the longest serving manager at one club in football history?) but that was over the space of about 25 years.

Champions League / European Cup qualification      0

Football Writers' Player of the Year                            0

PFA Player of the Year                                               0

Players named in PFA top flight team of the year      0

Top flight outright golden boot winner                        0    (Is this right? Lineker shared it, but have I overlooked anyone?)

Man City did it over 13 years, 98/99 third tier champions, 01/02 second tier champions, 11/12 Premier League Champions...

Man City weren't third tier champions in 98/99, Brentford were.

I thought they got promoted from the third tier via the play offs https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_winners_of_English_Football_League_One_and_predecessors

Beat me to it :) Edited by foxychik

Maybe it's better than that as Ipswich won it when the third tier was regional i.e. North & South leagues .... would we be the first since the formation of the third and fourth leagues in 1958 ?

Leicester skipper Wes Morgan might be built like a nightclub bouncer but he’s very much the clean machine among Premier League defenders. The 31-year-old dealt smoothly with the physical presence of Romelu Lukaku, and didn’t concede a single free kick as he won every duel for the ball as well as every tackle he made on the way to the 3-1 win at Everton.

Not booked once in 29 games since Leicester’s last visit to Goodison Park in February, the 6ft 2ins tall tough guy has conceded just six fouls all season.

I've read a surprisingly high number of post-match reports saying we won 3-1 at Goodison Park.

Well, two to be precise.

Just mentioned on 5live that the combined points total for this season of Leicester, Palace, Watford & Bournemouth is greater than Arsenal, City, Utd & Liverpool's total.

Edit : Chelsea instead of Liverpool I mean

Don't know if we're the only team in the league to have not done this but... We are yet to score from outside the box.

Why has nobody mentioned this before?
