stox259 Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Surely we should have a couple Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo's Bank of Free-to-use Free-range Emoticonamajigs' on top of the badge?!
Hollism Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 If we won the league do you think Nigel Pearson would feel proud or bitter? I think even though what happened with his sacking I still think he'd be proud and pleased for us. Definitely a lot of both
desertfox2 Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 What the Fuchs fear. But yes I think we should if we can pull it off
Guest seanfox778 Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Would Andy King be the first player to win the Premier League, Championship and League 1? If we did manage to do the unthinkable.
Finnaldo Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Would Andy King be the first player to win the Premier League, Championship and League 1? If we did manage to do the unthinkable. You'd think so, not sure all time but definitely since the PL started.
Leicesterpool Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 If we won the league do you think Nigel Pearson would feel proud or bitter? I think even though what happened with his sacking I still think he'd be proud and pleased for us. I think he would be pleased, especially for the younger members of the team. However I couldn't imagining wanting to give much credit to either Ranieri or the owners.
Guest Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Big clubs don't need stars in my opinion. They don't need to remind everybody that they've won silverware and are a successful club. It's different in places like Germany and Italy where one star represents 10 titles, but they just look a bit naff in England. Stars above the crest are for small time clubs who've won nothing for decades in England, a way of admitting that 'we're crap now, but we were brilliant before any of our players were born.' How about we do the opposite where we represent 1 title with 10 stars?
WesMorganGod Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Tbf if we do win the league I'm gonna remind every fvcker I meet for the rest of my life. haha exactly.
MPH Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Tbf if we do win the league I'm gonna remind every fvcker I meet for the rest of my life. Please don't become like Leeds and Forest fans!
BoyJones Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Would Andy King be the first player to win the Premier League, Championship and League 1? If we did manage to do the unthinkable. He'd still get slagged off by a load of posters on here, who can't recognise quality when they see it.
ARM1968 Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Last Christmas I was in hospital after a ruptured gall bladder, still in when we were robbed at A Field. If we win the league I'll be in hospital again.
bovril Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 I remember a Croatian friend saying to me once, "If Croatia won the World Cup, I would party non-stop for a month, spend all my money on drugs and high-class prostitutes, then jump off a cliff as I would have nothing left to live for". I think if Leicester won the league I'd do something similar, just maybe without the cliff part.
sylofox Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 If we did win the league instead of a star can we have a pic of my sore knob. J ust to be different
bluebeau Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 I just hope that City fans don't forget that the turning point in the football club's success was when Peter Taylor signed my hero Junior Lewis. Surely they must warrant a winners medal each? I'll never forget JL it was just like watching Brazil.

Fox92 Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Stars does stink of forest tbf. If we won the European Cup twice then I'd want stars on our badge. What an achievement. Likewise, if we won the league. Many clubs have stars. What about Manchester City. I love the history of the game and it's nice for fans of Ipswich and Huddersfield etc to be reminded of how great their club once was.
dylanlegend Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 I thought stars we're for European cups only?
Salieri Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 If we won the league....would it be the greatest shock ever in (English) football? I know there's been some ridiculous upsets in cups and the like but this would trump any one off result. There are probably comparable examples but as i'm not a historian and am indeed too lazy to use google, what other achievements would mirror or even top Leicester City winning the league this season? For the record, I don't think it will happen but Champions League next season is..ON!!!
Wymsey Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 The owners would still be here, even if we did win the league - for both the benefit of the club and the King Power brand.

They've been ripped by their own fans for those stars as they mean nothing. They're literally only there to give them a more European look. The key thing is 'how great their club once was,' it's so backward looking. I'd rather have our future than Forest's, Ipswich's or Huddersfield's history, at least I'll get to see it.
Guest Bilo Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Stars does stink of forest tbf. Yep, small time and hankering over a forgotten golden age.

Well I'd obviously want the present and future - we're in a better position than each other the clubs mentioned - but there's nothing wrong with history either... I'm proud we gave the Country Lineker and Shilton, and had Banks at the club during '66, I'm proud of what we've won and the fact we've played in four FA Cup finals... If having a star or two represented a Cup or even League win then I'd be proud of that too.
Carl the Llama Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 If we're putting a star on every time we win the league imagine what the shirt will look like in 20 and a half seasons time when we've eclipsed Man Utd's record.
