Merry Christmas to all Foxestalkers, your families and friends!

 

We've started celebrating on the 24th and I'm already stuffed from last evening's delicious meal.

 

Hope you all have a very nice festive season. Thankfully, there's still football on or else I wouldn't be able to cope with all that spare time. :D

Christmas is just an excuse for multinational corporations to brainwash you with consumerist instincts by making people believe the more money they spend the better a person they are.  I hope I haven't shattered your illusions though that wouldn't be nice.

More xmas cheer:  It's also an excuse for parents to bribe their children to forget the past year of being neglected which inevitably works each time until suddenly they're 30 years old and homeless because mummy and daddy didn't offer them the support they needed to develop into a well-adjusted functional adult.  At least they had a Playstation growing up.

Is it Merry Christmas or Happy Christmas? I always used to know it as merry when I was younger, and happy was for the new year, but now as I've got older the greeting tends to be 'Happy Christmas' hmmm

I googled this and apparently Merry is the correct traditional greeting. Happy is used as an alternative by people who don't want to encourage the more hedonistic connotations of Merry. The Queen says Happy as have high profile religious figures in the past. But in 2015 I think we should all just say fvck the PC twats for a minute and raise up a beer in the name of a Merry old Christmas.

Hope everyone has a great and peaceful day, I hear that Top has bought his father a display cabinet and a tin of silver polish and Fenwicks are probably sold out of Champagne glasses and passport covers as we prepare for a magical 2016......
