An Away Move

Your biggest 'outrage' as a Leicester fan

Yes, it is. And I love Pirlo. Of course it's disrespect, why else would you take it like that?

What's him not being an English centre mid got to do with anything?!

Let me ask you a question, would people be this 'outraged' about it if it was Andy King took that penalty not Kermogrant? people are missing the whole point of what I'm actually saying!

No point in all this argument over a penalty that happened six years ago lol

I don't 'hate' or 'dislike' Kermogrant, it's gone now. We're in the Premier League.

I would have been even more outraged if Andy King did it as he is Leicester through and through. He would know how important that moment was to the fans. If Kermogant had missed it by taking it normally ie picking a side or smashing it etc then fans wouldn't have been anywhere near as critical. Players miss penalties but when it is a penalty of such importance i'm sorry but you just don't take it the way Kermogant did. He should have known the backlash he would get for trying that sort of thing.

If in doubt. Smash it.

The way I and many other fans see that moment is that Kermogant showed complete disrespect to us and the club by not taking his penalty serious. By all means try and trick the keeper with a chip in a regular game but when the prize is much greater than 3 points then you shouldn't try something so cocky.

If you don't agree that's fair enough. I'm not going to tell you you're wrong as that's your opinion. Wont change the fact that I think Kermo is a massive c***.

The early 90's was a funny time as a Leicester fan and there was a lot of outrage too. I was just a kid but between Pleat, blackburn play off, swindon playoff, Little changing his mind and going to Villa and then McGhee pissing off after nothing more than a few months alot went on. I'll always remember the graffiti on the old liberty building!

Some people have such stupid opinions about the Kermo penalty, it's almost like some fans think he deliberately missed just to spite them. In reality, there was no difference between his and Waghorns penalties, they both missed. If that's how he felt most comfortable taking it, then that's how he should've taken it.

Although, it is ridiculously annoying seeing him bang in penalties for Charlton and Bournemouth over the years with no chip in sight.

Seriously?

They both missed penalties- that's where the similarities end. Waggy contributed massively to our playoff season and at least smashed his penalty as opposed to a half hearted arrogant chip from a player who'd done FA for us all season.

Thank fcuk we got rid of him.

Travelling all the way by public transport to Oxford during the Hamilton era only to see us lose 5-0! Got home at 10.00pm!

Swapping Jim Melrose for Tommy English.

The fact that young talented footballers such as Dave Buchanan and Jo Waters never quite made it.

Selling Larry May - one of our most athletic and underrated centre halves.

Jock Wallace leaving us to join Motherwell.

Losing to Sheffield Wednesday before the Stoke game, when a victory would have kept us up and sent Wednesday down.

Stoke relegation to League One game.

Cambiasso leaving us. Just think if he had stayed - no need for Inler or a new recruit.

Probably not a real outrage, but leaving Filbert Street was hard to take. The KP is great, but Filbert Street is our spiritual home.

La Manga, when virtually half of our squad were in prison.

The Burton FA Cup tie having to be replayed when their goalkeeper made a real meal of collapsing after he had been hit by a coin, egged on by his Manager, a certain Neil Warnock.

Not signing Johan Cuyff in 1981

Jesus Christ, I wasn't taking a swipe at Waggy I absolutely loved him here but some people are failing to see that in absolute black and white, in complete reality, both players missed! The fact you've had a dig at Kermogrant personally not his chip is the point I'm making really, touchy subject.

Considering it's FA Cup weekend, the fact we've never won it. I really hope I see us win the FA Cup, it'd be a dream come true.

Yeh but in my opinion you just never take a penalty in that way. I'd be mad had someone else who'd contributed to the season massively had done that, never mind an essentially reserve team player. It had an air of arrogance about it and as some have said- disregard to the competition, the club and the fans. What we achieved that night was phenomenal and was up there as one of the best city games I've been to with the 5-3 v Man U. Unfortunately Cardiff away is remembered for the wrong reasons. I don't buy the 'it was his favoured method' either. Odds are you're less likely to score with that method than you are powering it like Waggy did.

It is a touchy subject you're right lol and it shouldn't be given how far in the past that night should now seem. I just don't get the argument in defending Kermorgant

Mark McGhee leaving us when we were top of the league and playing really well, for 'bigger club' Wolves - and then taking Steve Corica with him. He was pretty disrespectful about us in the aftermath.

On the bright side both of their careers nose-dived after leaving us.

Peter Taylor inheriting a midfield of Lennon, Izzet and Savage and thinking that the way to improve on that was to bring in Lee Marshall, Matt Jones and Junior Lewis.

He was the biggest outrage as that collossal bellend took our best team in living memory, destroyed it and set us back ten years.   Pure sabotage.

Still bitter.

Got to be Madrid at home for pure outrage! Still gets me angry thinking about it.

Ild second that,

What was it 4 stone wall penalties,

And Garry Parker sent off for taking a quick freekick,

If I remember rightly that French ref got banned from Reffing European games

As a youngish chap, the one that irks me is us losing to Wycombe Wanderers in the FA cup when their teletext striker scored the winner.

Both dismissals of Pearson have made me angry, particularly the one this summer.

Il agree with this aswell :-)

In terms of pure anger at a LCFC match, it has to be the Atletico game. Even as a youngish teenager I thought that match was rigged, and since it happened I've only grown more certain.

Brilliant post

The Melrose for English swop is the most galling In our history IMO

In terms of outrage the penalty in the cup at Chelsea was a disgusting decision, remember the footage of O'Niell with his arms on his hips looking absolutely disgusted and incensed. Athletico was also just as bad, the game at filbert street was a complete swindle, money changed hands with the ref for sure. More recently the penalty that was awarded against us for forest at home, in Nov 2012. Winning at the time, Whitbread makes a great tackle just inside the area but the ref gets it all wrong. Pearson goes nuts in the interview quite rightly afterwards.
