The Doctor Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Ask Spurs why they've given up 2 of the 3 goals to us in the last week and they'll say Ulloa. Why wasn't anyone marking Wasyl? Ulloa. Why wasn't anyone marking Huth? Ulloa. Yawn. Someone was marking wasyl and he just lost them with a good run, and huth lost his marker because a spurs player threw them into Lloris. Bit of a push to claim that's ulloas doing.
Countryfox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Vardy excepted, just play the team that drew against Villa, tell them to play with the same level of ambition in that match and, when we lose let's celebrate being knocked out and being able to concentrate on what's important to us. Bit harsh Thrac .... We did enough to win that game ... And should have won that game ..... If it wasn't for .. THAT BLOODY PEN !!!
promised land Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 That deadline has passed. No more suspensions for 5 yellows. It's now 10 by March 2nd or something like that. You'd be amazed how many don't know this, I heard a few in the lower tier say it yesterday.

When he realizes Wasyl is going on a run he abandons Leo but is already behind Wasyl. Alderweireld is marking Huth, leaves him when the ball is about to be struck to mark Leo, knocks over Dier in the process, and when he turns around Huth has already headed the ball. The ball is orange blip straight under the English flag. The picture is Alderweireld is facing towards goal and the ball is over the 6 with Huth obviously unmarked. Both times is Alderweireld and Dier as well.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 I thought Alderweireld had lost Wes for the league goal.

Both times is Alderweireld and Dier as well. On the first Wasyl has the run on them even without Ulloa - he's gone straight across the goal and not been picked up at all. His man is blocked off by the one marking Ulloa, but that'd be the same regardless of which player it was. The second: Number five is marking Ulloa, the one who shoves Dier over (who was supposed to be marking Huth) has nothing to do with Ulloa.

Except your not saying why alderweireld left Huth in the first place? Or why his hands are on Ulloa's back at the end of that gif? Or why somehow Dier and alderweireld would switch off in that situation?
st albans fox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Alderweireld defo had huth as first goalscorer. nothing else makes any sense!
Clever Fox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 What I'd like to know is what are the officials doing as that's a penalty all day long the way Ulloa is being pulled towards goal. This has crept into the game big time in the last few years simply because defenders are getting away with it. In the 60s and 70s players stood Shoulder to Shoulder and may the best man win in the leap. Sometimes they'd hold the forwards shirt tightly so as the Ref couldn't see it happening. Now it's just totally crazy and completely out of control. Players will always push the limits until Refs take control.

Or why somehow Dier and alderweireld would switch off in that situation? Alderweireld wasn't marking huth, that was Dier. His hands aren't on ulloas back, and why he did that, not a clue, although webbos post match suggestion they were trying to make the ref think Dier was fouled is reasonable. Leo was around that area, but he wasn't involved. You could just admit he's been shit for a couple of months now?
Livid Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 I have a feeling they will win this one. In the three games so far they've played quite well I think it's about time the result went their way.

The result went their way in the last one when the fookin ref gave them a pen that never was .... But you're right, Sod's law they will win cus there shouldn't even have been a replay.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 I reckon they'll beat us but who cares we done 'em in the game that mattered and it made them hella' mad

dylanlegend Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 Focus on the league [emoji12] The FA cup allows the fringe players to play and get a chance. They are pretty good as well. I reckon we've shaken Spurs over the last few games and we can take them here. Just hope the performance is good as well
EnglishOxide Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 A mix of our first team and second team. ------------------Kasper--------------- --Simpson---Morgan----Wasyl----Chilwell-- ----Mahrez---Drinkwater---Inler---Gray---- -------------Vardy----Ulloa-------------- I'd prefer Kramaric in there instead of Ulloa but let's face it that's not going to happen. Plus Ulloa is handy from set pieces. Mahrez and Vardy need to play their way back into form and not be rested. I actually think Vardy looked more like his usual self against Villa and the groin problem is clearing up. Albrighton, Kante and Fuchs deserve the night off. This team can really do well.
My Nads Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 Focus on the league [emoji12] I know what you mean and they were my thoughts too, but we have a team of players that don't play week in week out. It's good for them to be able to play competitive games. If they can get us to the quarters or semis we should start taking it seriously, but for now use it for the rest of the squad to get some playing time. As for the game I think we will win it at our place. Beating Spurs in the league and knocking them out of the cup in a week would be fantastic!
