Milik seems a bit too good to be true, but he'd be my #1 choice. Otherwise someone like Remy or Pelle would suit me - someone who's got proven ability score in this league, not someone we're bringing in purely based on their potential for the future.

However much we all want a big name I can't see it being the case unfortunately and few may feel a little disappointed.

Long wouldn't be a bad signing, quick, direct and knows where the goal is, good 20 minute man.

Someone like McCormack, Pelle, Long or Rhodes would do me. Even a punt on Rickie Lambert (if only for penalties!). It will probably end up being some championship 18 year old "with loads of potential for the future". Stuff the current title charge!

Don't know why people are posting names that wouldn't suit us whatsoever. Some people see a name over their actual attributes sometimes, you can't just shoehorn someone into our side because we play a certain way.

Koeman has just been on SSN and 100% says no one will be leaving this window...  Also talked about the combinations of strikers, which he included Long in so that is a no go.

 

 

I wonder if Chelsea would let Remy go too. Also, Palace, Spurs and Stoke all seem set on signing a striker this window, so looks like we have competition for what's available....

 

 

Although, Claudio in his interview seemed very smug and I get the feeling he has a particular striker already lined up and ready to be signed shortly....  I would guess someone from abroad.

Our strikers are all 29... we need a younger player in that area for me. I think the club are taking the long term view of success, rather than chasing immediate success by chucking money at older names.
