fuchsntf Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 I personally dont look that far,(one game at a time my motto) or let it freak me out , one way or tother. I actually reckon we will do OK, but lets say we do slip in Feb. Then the question above becomes valid. My wished targets have been reached, I am just enjoying the gravy, knowing we'll have some custard to enjoy as well
Trav Le Bleu Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 We can have a poor February and still be top 4. Why worry?
Strokes Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 Wait until you've eaten your gravy before you have custard mate.
gerrytaggart Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 Ever mixed custard with gravy??...No, me neither...it sounds rank but you will never know unless you try it.
shade Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 didn't we take 1 point from the next three fixtures in the first half of the season?
fuchsntf Posted 25 January 2016 Author Posted 25 January 2016 Ever mixed custard with gravy??...No, me neither...it sounds rank but you will never know unless you try it. Dunk my custard creams into my piping hot Gravy, loooovvvelllyy.....
st albans fox Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 Ever mixed custard with gravy??...No, me neither...it sounds rank but you will never know unless you try it. Indeed (and 38 from the other 16!)
LJS Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 I expect that we may well have a poor February but we've got ourselves in a good enough position to still finish in the top four even if we do. Man Utd's fixtures don't look too inviting given their form either, which helps. I guess it depends on your definition of poor as well. I think we'll beat both Liverpool and Norwich at home. I don't expect us to get anything from the two away games but nobody would be entirely shocked if we held one of Man City or Arsenal to a draw. If we come out of February with six or seven points we could well be looking at ending March clear at the top. The fixtures that month look lovely. And April isn't too bad either. Just imagine.....
nnfox Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 If we lose the next three games, worst case scenario is that we will be 4th.
biggs Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 February will be fine....3 pt cushion and no signs of falling off. Thinking with the new signings, it might even get better.
Vlad the Fox Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 How can you have your pudding if you've not eaten your dinner!
WesMorganGod Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 If we have a bad February we won't slip too far down, the others will drop points too, its not like Man City, Arsenal or Spurs have been going on long winning runs at any point this season. Personally I would be fine with 3 points from our next 3 difficult games Liverpool. Arsenal and Man City.. obviously I want more, but if we got say 3 points I would be cool with it, because after that we have a good run of games and are winnable and the rest have to play eachother.. so they will all drop points.
jim5000 Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 I think we can win the league. The core of the team - Schmeichel, Morgan, Drinkwater, Vardy, and Mahrez were all part of the championship winning team. Yes, it's a league lower, but as recently as two seasons ago that core experienced what it takes to get in front at this time of year and stay there. The fear has gone from the players, and with people like Fuchs and Kante we've added probably the best left back and midfielder to the premier league this season. Claudio knows what he's doing and we might lose 2 or 3 more but this team knows what to do to keep winning.
STUHILL Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 What's great is that we are top, but still considered underdogs in the next few matches. Great mentality to have and I think we may surprise a few with these next results. I think the real tough fixtures will be the matches we are now expected to win and that brings different types of pressures and frustrations to deal with.
BoyJones Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 We'll beat Liverpool next Tuesday. Thank God, a positive post.
foxinsox Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 February is no worse than December. Its Liverpool, Man City and the Arsenal that should be worried (and are!). Draws of ManC and Arsenal would be fine as they would maintain our favourable starting position. Happy times :-)
Raw Dykes Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 How can you have your pudding if you've not eaten your dinner! It's the best thing about living alone. Can I really have just cake for dinner? Well, who's going to stop me? Deal with it.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 Man City and Arsenal are going to be so expectant to beat us at their own grounds, this will be such an asset to us. I see the Man City game as the tougher of the two but imagine the home crowds reaction if we go a goal up. I think in these games we'll be back to having no pressure on us and hopefully we can take advantage and cause more shocks to the Premier League, I can't wait for February's games.
Leicester_Numan Posted 26 January 2016 Posted 26 January 2016 I think with the return to fitness of Vardy and Shinji playing pretty well the last few games, we'll have a better February than we might expect. We're certainly capable of beating Liverpool at the KP, Man City's defence is dodgy enough at times to think we're capable of at least a draw and as for Arsenal, it really depends which Arsenal decide to show up on the day but again, as long as it's not the team that beat us 5-2, I think we're capable of at least a point. I'd certainly be happy with 5 points from those 3 games and even happier if Man City & Arsenal also drop points elsewhere.
