Ahmed Musa

The more I think about this, the keener I am for it to happen. His blistering pace, dribbling ability and goal threat from the wide positions would be invaluable to us in the second half of the season after we watched the team struggle slightly over the Christmas period when injuries/fatigue set in in the players who usually perform that role like Vardy and Mahrez.

I think Musa would suit our system down to the ground and I must admit I was terminally impressed by his performances at the world cup. £19mil - go on then CSKA, let's dance.

Sounds like Musa's agent trying to hurry this along to me.

Could be Musa's club trying to engineer a higher fee? From reports I've read, United have scoured him and seen him first hand during the Champions League, but there hadn't been any reported concrete interest until now.

That said, if there is concrete interest that would make it tricky for our interests because the Old Trafford hierarchy's negotiation skills are awful - seems to go along the lines of "how much do you want?" ... "Ok what if we give you £5 million more?"

I agree - seems to really fit what we are looking for!

It could be, with all the talk of Man United joining the race to sign him, or potentially, that the owners want word in principal from owners, agents etc that an increased bid to the asking price will not just be used to tease out further interest.

His versatility as an attacker would give us options during a game.

HIs pace would further strengthen our counter attacking abilities and he could come on as an 'impact' sub against tired defences.

I wish we get the business done very soon!

Yes, I love the fact that he can play No9 and left sided forward equally well.

It's essential we buy a player that can fit into Vardy's role and still play in the same team as him in another role.

Wow, a £20m impact sub.

wow. This is just surreal. We are talking players here that are being courted by clubs all over Europe. The big hitters too. To think 18 months we were chuffed to break our transfer record to land Leo. How we have grown in stature in such a small time.

Why do we always drag our feet with transfers get it done

Do you understand how a transfer works?

We just give them a load of cash, they need to accept and the player has no choice... neither do any other clubs, so long as we turn up with the cash first.

That's about right isn't it?

interestingly that was exactly the case for us in last January's window. I think we put an increased bid for a player but the owner decided that they had gave their word to a club, I think west ham and they didn't want to renege. So we didn't get the chance to talk to the player

This, the player wants to join, the selling club are begging for us to take him off their hands for a rubbish price but our people are just sitting around drinking coffee and eating biscuits like it's going to happen on its own.

A rubbish price? Their asking price is double our record.
