It really does take a certain kind of arrogance to not only decide - on spurious evidence at best - that a deal is definitely not happening, but also to demand that other people are no longer allowed to discuss it...

Just doesn't happen. Only reason would be CSKA telling us that they won't sell for less than 23 and to show they're serious, they are prepared to play him in a friendly. If thats the case, I wouldn't want to play poker with them!

If we come back with a better offer, the situation may change. The fact that he's playing today means a deal is not done yet; it does not mean a deal won't be done.

The only 'common sense' that can be derived from this is that none of us know **** all other than we've had a 15m bid rejected and they've told us to come back with 18m.

As he's played in today's friendly it shows that they want the valuation they've given to us or he's staying. I'm sure we'll put another bid in the will more than likely be accepted if closer to what they are after.

It's speculation but I wouldn't say its particularly unfounded given the fairly reasonable logic that they wouldn't play him in a friendly if they were planning to sell in the next few days.
