artursteppe Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I don't understand why we didn't pay that extra 5m for Musa. With that new TV deal 5m is peanuts . It is quite simple, if we get a reputation for being willing to spend £5million more than our own valuation every club in the world would increase the value of every target that we wanted to buy with an add-on of at least £5million. We must let other clubs know that there is no club who can take the piss out of Leicester City, right?
ian_marshall Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 My concern is that we have no one with similar attributes to Vardy should he a)get injured or b)become fatigued. Personally don't think we needed a world class player, just someone who was happy to sit on the bench and capable of contributing 5 or so goals between now and the end of the season should Vardy be sidelined. What worries me is the lack of numbers. Even last season we had 4 recognised strikers.
lgfualol Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I'm just disappointed with how we approached getting a new striker, but happy we didn't overpay. Gray and Amartey are superb signings for a snip with their potential. I do forsee 442 going out of the window and 433 being brought in.
Biggus Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 doom and gloom merchants working overtime tonight !
Fez of Mahrez Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 How the hell have you worked that out? More out than in? As good as Gray and Amartey might be, we have no idea yet.
Vlad the Fox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Tantrums, tantrums. Time for Schlupp to step up. How longs he out for.
tyfox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Guys it could be worse..... We could be Villa, bottom of the league and signed 0 players in Jan- have they given up already!I honestly think they have or at least the chairman has
ClamChoudhury Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Would've liked to have seen us go after Lacazette. Lyon is shitting the bed in Ligue 1 and he's quality
Russell sprout Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Must be time to get shot of rudkin or whoever the hell is doing our deals - newcastle made some great buys and thry are bottom 3I would have took Townsend and shelvey meself,To think we made a record signing in kram When rock bottom this time last year but nothing when we're top this year, this is a once in a lifetime season for us and I would be gutted if we didn't make champs league due to lack of depth
Legend_in_blue Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 We perform best when our backs are up against the wall. We never do things the easy way - get used to it. It'll all work out in the end and we can bring in some decent players over the summer window - panic buys now will get you nowhere. Could take another 10 or so games to settle in and then the season's almost done. Chill out.
EGBFitness Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 This best be a ****ing smoke screen. If Musa is our main target pay the extra £5 mill and get the deal done! To have a striker leave and to not replace is a bit of a joke. Granted Kram never played but the position we are in we could really be adding quality in to help get the team over the finishing line
ramboacdc Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Tantrums, tantrums. Time for Schlupp to step up. How longs he out for. ooh jesus. the cup game against west ham still haunts me. he hit the roof more times than anything.
UPinCarolina Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I really think that we plan on utilizing a different formation if Vardy gets knackered, one that plays to the strengths of our midfield. I don't know that I believe that we are weaker - I just don't know anything right now really. We best go on and put it on Liverpool tomorrow or there will be a Chernobyl-esque meltdown on FoxesTalk.

But haggling when you know the fee is wrong.
tony222 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Must be time to get shot of rudkin or whoever the hell is doing our deals - newcastle made some great buys and thry are bottom 3 Yes, we should go all out to hire the whole of Newcastles recruitment team. Look how that's working out, just think where we could be .......
Fuch Me Moore Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Yes we have had a good season so far, yes we have kept Vardy, mahrez, Kante. However, our forward line needed strengthening. Anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves. It's been clear ulloa is lacking match games and confidence. (That's being kind!) Okazaki is a great little player but you can't rely on him week in week out to put the ball in the net. We have a huge oppurtunity to go for the title/top 4. If lack of goals sees us fall away then we will all pointing the finger!!!
ozvaldo Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I really don't understand letting Kram go with no back up coming in. Shît.
BlueJoe Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 We had our chance to buy Champions League football for less the £40 mil in the window and we gave up the chance!!! Quite clearly there was player willing to move for the money a clever loan or two in would have been smart. If we lose Vardy I will hate to watch Okazaki and Ulloa leading the line neither are good enough to win you a league... We had the chance but looks like the big Thais have bottled the chance they had to do something big!!!

But lets save that sentiment for the summer and all the other transfer windows - not the one where we're top of the table with 15 games to go.
smr Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 When was the last time we had a flawless season? Since I watched david oldfield and lee philpott, mike whitlow etc. in the 90s... every damn season we've never had a perfect or smooth season, always something to go wrong, yo-yoing one way or another.. I fear not acting properly in this transfer window will be a massive mistake for us and one we'll live to regret... only leicester city, had to be something to bring us back down to earth, this'll ****ing be it i bet ! :\ proper bottled it.
dayday Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 The only saving grace is that we have 15 games to give it everything, it probably was a blessing that we are out of the cup.

That is garbage, just because you pay over the odds once doesn't mean your prepared to do it deal after deal
matty98 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 As Kramaric can be recalled it's not really that big of a deal, in fact probably better as we'll be getting a player back with some match fitness if we do get some injuries
